Reñaca is a resort with a beach several kilometers long, in Viña del Mar, the Valparaíso Region of Chile. It's located near the mouth of the estuary with the same name. Wulff Castle is a building constructed in 1905 and situated in the coastal city Vina del Mar, which is next to the Caleta Abarca resort. Since 2005 it has housed the Heritage Unit headquarters of of Viña del Mar and it's also a National Historic Landmark. The castle has undergone renovations, during which the circular covered stone tower was installed that connects the main building to the bridge. There's a medieval stained glass window there as well as a glass floor where you can see where the sea hits the construction and rocks. Currently you can only enter on the first floor on which deals as an exhibition center as well reocrrer their environment.
It was one of the first casinos to be built in Chile. It is in a beautiful building of classical architecture from the beginning of the century. It has become an icon for the city. It has a restaurant, event halls, cafes, etc.. The City Council of Viña del Mar has declared this building is of historical and architectural interest.
The museum is divided into two parts. One of the floors is devoted entirely to anthropology and has a first floor that is entirely devoted to a samples of Chilean plants. The anthropology in one of the sections highlights the Mapuche people and how they lived on the island of Rapa Nui. There you'll find a large Easter Island collection of things, one of the most comprehensive of its kind as we hear, even more complete than the Museum on the island. Also, in the garden there is a real "Moai", Easter Island, which can be seen without entering the museum but worth doing. Hours: Monday to Friday: 10:00 to 18:00 hrs. / Saturday and Sunday 10:00 to 14:00 hrs.
It is the most centrally located and crowded beach in the city, a beautiful bay with gardens and clean sand bordering the Recreation hill and the Capuchins monastery and church (to the south), which seem to tower over the cliff. At the other end of the beach is the Castle Hill with its flower clock.
