Saint-Julien de Genevois is one of the first towns in the Haute Savoie when crossing the border from Geneva to France. A relatively new town that welcomes people of Geneva who struggle to find a living in the city or seek village tranquility. The village has all basic services for residents and visitors. It's a highly developed town for visitors who want to cycle as bicycle lanes connect the town with its surroundings. We had friends who worked in Geneva and made the journey from Saint-Julien each day by bike, about 20 km on roads and streets that are used to and prepared for bicycles. The French population is also well connected by a regional inter-city bus service to Geneva. If you go in late summer don't miss the opportunity to take a trip on two wheels to see pumpkin fields, vineyards and charming small villages.
