This place is perfect for those living in Germany for a while or simply for those wanting to discover a more natural, traditional and quiet side of the country. Binz is on the island of Rügen, the largest island in northeastern Germany, on the Baltic Sea. Here, you can find amazing and quiet beach houses or buildings of architectural and/or historical importance. For example, a short distance away is Prora, a giant resort that was designed by the Nazis. Another interesting place is the "Kreidefelsen" with its white cliffs, made famous by the German Romantic painter Caspar David Friedrich. These wonderful cliffs can be seen from the Binz pier. The best months to visit are June through September, by the weather more than anything.
