In my opinion, it’s the best town in the South of Albacete, together with Letur. It’s one of the top tourist destinations that people from Alicante and Murcia visit when they want to head to the mountains and enjoy a bit of nature.
Set on the rock on the hillside of a mountain that seems like it’s from Western America, Ayna provides visitors with an unmistakable peace, a perfect temperature in the summer, and a mountainous climate in the winter.
It’s an ideal place to stay if you’re spending the weekend in the area. There are good restaurants, bakeries and places to stay, as well as many things to do in the surrounding area like walking through the heart of the woods, along the Segura river, or excursions to the top of the mountain.
If you pass through here coming from the South (following the road from Murcia and not from Albacete), you’ll be stunned by the trip, as it seems like the road is taking you to a land that has yet to be explored.
