This mud is accepted for medicinal properties and used in beauty therapy. The place is nice, with hot and cold springs, a sauna made of volcano thermal emissions. It is greatly visited for the water so they have expanded their services allowing tourist groups to visit during the day. The place is covered in replicas of indigenous ornaments from the chorotega area. Tourist facilities include bathrooms, toilets, restaurant, locker and tourist sites where you can see part of the volcano activity.

The hotel is at the foot of the Arenal Volcano, you have a great panoramic view from anywhere. The facilities are of high quality, the rooms are very big and the hotel is surrounded by greenery. From there you can go to La Fortuna and Catartas at sunset and ride to one of the vantage points to see the volcano. I recommend it.
Arenal has lovely cabins Rooms that are furnished and equipped for cooking.Situated a few meters from the heart of La Fortuna in one of the most secure and calm areas. The cabins have 2 separate rooms. Cooking utensils. Fridge and Microwave. Coffee Maker and Toaster. Rice cooker. TV and cable. Bathroom with hot water. Wireless Internet. Private terrace. Parking. They have cabins that have AC and some with fan. It is recommended for families and couples because they handle prices from $ 40 a night for couples and $ 50 for families from 3 to 5 people on the same price. It also has some with AC. Knowing how expensive it tends to be for accommodation and eating out in La Fortuna, this one one of THE BEST OPTIONS.
This is a Hotel located in the county of Carrillo, Sardinal District, Province of Guanacaste. It began as a group of friends who bought parceled land and sold it to other friends. Therefore in this hotel there are two types of Villas, private and Hotel. It has two swimming pools for adults and two for children, soccer, beach soccer, tennis, a building for events and is run by an association of employees of the Social Security Fund. This is a site close to a dozen beautiful beaches, ideal for rest and fun. It's facilities are surrounded by a thick vegetation, the home to plenty of wildlife including howler monkeys, iguanas and a little friend to keep your eye on, a little skunk. If you want home cooked food choose a cabin, they are equipped to live in and if you want hotel type place, there are two restaurants.
A place for a relaxing walk on the sandy Samara beach where one is with nature and the beauty of the beach and you can relax in the evening in the hotel. With a communal kitchen for the price of 60 dollars per cabin in August 2009. Each cabin had a double bed and bunk bed. I recommend that there are cheaper places but the location of this place is good because it is near the supermarket and the beach. Right next door is a surf school and if you ask for Luis he will rent you a horse for 10 dollars an hour on the beach.
Villa Teca Hotel is in the hills of Manuel Antonio National Park, about 10 minutes from Manuel Antonio Beach (Playa Espadilla) and 10 minutes from the city of Quepos. Rooms are refurbished and have AC (essential) cable TV, bathroom with hot shower and cozy beds. The hotel also owns the restaurant "La Villa" specializing in Italian food and Costa Rican cuisine. The room rate includs breakfast and taxes, which helps to avoid surprises when you get there2. Inside the hotel, there are gardens of tropical forest that are lovely and it is the home of different species of animals such as white faced and howler monkeys, armadillos and many birds. At night is the sound of nature, forget the days doing work in the city. The guys at the reception are friendly and know the area which is what allowed me to take some tours like Canopy and Rafting. This Hotel is RECOMMENDED for families, groups of friends, couples dating, senior groups seeking contact with nature and a peaceful place.
At cahuita we arrived at the village's main street. I noticed that the cabins come from the entrance of Cahuita National Park following the street straight right to end up in the sea on the right. The cabins are there, in the perfect site. There are 30 cabins and the price in August was $ 40 per room with four beds each. You can ask the manager about taking a boat tour to Punta Cahuita to see the corals. The tour costs 45 dollars per person and leaves you in this Cahuita National Park and you can walk back through the park.
They are very comfortable cabins with great views of the Arenal Volcano. They are highly recommended when lava from the volcano is falling to the side facing the town of El Castillo. At night, from the balcony of the cabin you can quietly con temple the explosions and the draining of lava down the slopes of the volcano. ($ 20 / pax in a cabin for 4. Price, 2007)
It's a hotel nestled in the mountains and in the valley of a river. It's a great attraction for its architecture where colonial buildings and current buildings rival each other. The location is ideal for eco-tourism with its trails in a dry tropical forest. A peaceful area close to the beaches of the region such as the beaches of Jaco, Herradura and Tárcoles, great places for surfers. The hotel has an atmosphere of peace and tranquility ideal for those seeking recreation through hiking, exploration and swimming.
Located within the Corcovado National Park, on the Osa Peninsula in southwestern Costa Rica. This is a wonderful place to get away from civilization and enjoy the rainforest, fauna and flora. Access is by motor boat from Sierpe on the Sierpe River to the sea and then disembarking at the beach. A tractor leads up to the lodge. The sunset over Caño Island is indescribable.

Volker and Minerva are a German-Venezuelan couple that offer at their inn the best of two worlds, the organization and Teutonic efficiency, and friendliness, Venezuelan simplicity and kindness. The inn has a swimming pool, gardens, pool table, a very nice restaurant, and bar, and free wi-fi available for customers. Oh, and very importantly, there are sunbeds at the entrance to each room and in the public areas.
Monteverde area is interesting, for its development and for its origins. We chose Hotel El Sapo Dorado for its location with respect to the Monteverde Reserve, an amazing place to walk and see nature. The rooms are arranged in cottages separated from one another, scattered over an expanse of land, 2 rooms per cottage. The silence, something we always look for in our travels is almost guaranteed, and to hear more birds than anything else. The rooms are big, and have two king-size beds, so you could go with 4 people. For 2, it's fantastic. Two of the four walls are made of glass, and inside the room you can see the vegetation surrounding the cabin, birds and even small mammals such as raccoons, roaming abroad. They have fireplace, functional, heating and bathroom small but comfortable. Breakfast is served in the restaurant, and it is good, and in many cases, has ecological products. We were there for 4 days, that could well be because it was a good hotel for touring the area. Green Pea Project, a blog for the Five Senses http://www.guisanteverdeproject.com/
