Dubrovnick is full of exciting places, from the ruins found in the old part of the city that are impressive and is a city full of shops and restaurants where you can eat, although a bit expensive. Next to the ruins is the beach, which isn´t too big. The islands are also very nice, and you have a number of beaches for nudists. These trips can be arranged from the old part of town very easily. If you do not want to spend a lot of money, you can go to the hostel Villa Banana, Majis and they will pick you up from the bus station. The owners don´t speak very well but they are good people.
The Kamara Dubrovnik is completely renovated, so your stay in the city will be comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms are well-equipped, spacious, and very clean, with a private bathroom. Some rooms have large balconies overlooking the sea. The entrance is a little strange, as you have to enter an alley with stairs (don't worry - it's not a dangerous area), but as soon as you walk into reception, you'll feel at ease. Breakfast is a buffet but, at least when I was there, the kitchen made us what we wanted to order. It's 1.5 km from the walled city, about 20 minutes walk to the sea, although if you prefer, you can take the bus that stops outside the hotel. As for the price, you have to remember that Dubrovnik, like any tourist town, is very expensive. So this hotel is good value, but only if you compare it against other hotels in the city.
Great three star hotel with 200 rooms. If there's something about this hotel that stands out it's its spacious rooms and long hallways. The hotel is spread out over 3 floors and a basement where they have dining areas and meeting rooms. If you want a luxury hotel this isn't the place, it's your typical three star hotel, but it's in a beautiful setting. But, this hotel has a problem, which is that out of the 200 rooms half or more give very small garden areas and narrow, so the views are null and clarity of the rooms also. If you can and you fight with the Italian request a pool view or sea view because I assure you it is worth it and the interiors are very sad. Otherwise the hotel as general assessment and taking into account the country where it is, who recently came out of a war, that whole area of the hotel were places inhabited by refugees give it a 10, but above all for their treatment, the Dubrovnik people in general is 10 people.
Apartment Antonia is very close to the Dubrovnik walls. It's a two-room house that's very cheerful and has a great view of the old part of the city. We got there after two weeks of sleeping in shelters and we found paradise. It's really a very simple apartment and to get to it you'll have to go up a few stairs, but it's worth it. It is also very cheap and the area is very quiet which is welcome in a city like Dubrovnik which is saturated with tourists day 24 hours.
This building has six apartments of varying sizes, the largest being for five people. It has a great location, with a terrace overlooking the sea. You'll find a mini kitchen, bathroom, and terrace - no-frills, but very nice. You're 15 minutes walk from the city, 50 metres from the beach, and at a great price - in summer, two people can have the studio for just 70 euros a day.
The retired cruiser is now a "botel", ie a floating hotel. In Croatia, we stayed in two different ones, and it's a very interesting experience, and cheap, too. The ship is huge, but the rooms are somewhat small, as you can imagine, they are cabins, all with shower and toilet, as well as air conditioning and heating. I recommend it 100% for young people, or people who do not mind sleeping in small rooms at a super cheap price. Given that any accommodation in Dubrovnik is pricey, this option, just 3 kilometers from the center, is really worth it. About 15 per head per night, and all basic needs, cleaning, etc ... perfect!
The Villa Doris (Dubrovnik) is in an area of a beautiful bay in the town of Stikovica, 6 km from Dubrovnik and only 50 meters from the ocean. A family manages the places and it is in a typical Dalmatian villa, over a century old . It has 9 big and well equipped rooms. All the apartments and studios are equipped with kitchenette and utensils. They have a barbecue on the terrace. The fee includes parking, towels changed every 2 days, linen changed every 7 days, final cleaning and daily shuttle service to the nearest market.
Well, it looks like this is the only campsite in the city and it's about 4 miles from the downtown area. If you're visiting AC and the only possibility to park near this city to view it, as there is no parking for the vehicle to leave the city, at least in summer. So useful that you have the vehicle in the campsite, take a taxi or bus to the center. GPS: Latitude »» 42 º 39'42 "N Longitude» »18 ° 4'13" E.
When booking, we weren't sure if we wanted to stay in this not-so-central location, but we liked it a lot. Transportation to the centre is very regular, and the stop is right next to the hotel; the bus runs every 15 minutes, and it will take 15 minutes to get downtown. We recommend buying the 24 hour ticket. There's another bus that leaves every hour for the airport. The hotel facilities are great, and it's close to the beach.
Hotel Lero is situated in the amazing city of Dubrovnik in the Croatian province of Dubrovnik - Neretva. It offers superb services such as modem internet access which is available throughout the hotel and costs 5 euros per hour. Breakfast is not included, the price is 8 euros per person.
Dubrovnik is one of the main tourist cities of Croatia and at certain times of year it is difficult to find accommodation. Also, the prices are usually higher than in the rest of the country, therefore, one of the best options is to go camping. In my case it was the best choice since we were there in a van. There are three campsites near Dubrovnik, the Matkovica, the Gaj and Trsteno. I opted for the Matkovica because it is closest to the city, it is located 8 miles south and there are two buses that run right from the door and take you to the center of Dubrovnik. Matkovica quite cozy, especially in a van. Because the soil is a little clayey if it rains and you are in a tent then it can get a little dirty. It has several areas with trees that provide good shade for outdoor eating, it has toilet facilities and the showers are very clean. Another advantage it has is that it is located next to a fairly wide beach with beautiful views. Yes, I recommend that you take chanquetas because beach sand is quite hard and can hurt. Next to the site there is also a rather cozy bar and large supermarket so there is no lack of services. Also, you can have dinner near the beach as just the other side of it there are several bars and restaurants that are open late. The truth is that we were very comfortable in this campground and the quality is exceptional price.
The Hotel Zagreb, for their location and appearance, attracts many tourists. It has landscaped and manicured gardens which give this hotel a special charm. It has 3 floors with 23 cozy rooms with nice décor and has been refurbished in 2005. Each room has satellite TV and a bathroom with shower and hairdryer.
