    Resorts in Casablanca
    Tahiti Beach Club
The Tahiti Beach Club is an institution in Casablanca. It's where people from the city come to spend the day, as the nearby beaches of the city are not particularly beautiful. This club offers a pool, and various sports facilities beside the sea. From downtown, you can take a bus or a cheap taxi (2 euros). Or you can walk - an easy one hour from the historic centre. Admission is 100 dirhams, which is 9 euros, plus 100 for a bed, or 50 for a chair. You can rent a cabin for 4 people for 90 euros. It is quite expensive, but the place is always full. Inside, you'll find a couple of restaurants and bars. It's a big place, with several pools for both adults and children. Azur Hotel
The Azur Hotel is a hotel on the coast of Casablanca, in the suburb of Ain Diab. It´s near several restaurants and bars, and it´s located in the most touristic part of Casablanca, so you can rest assured that you will be able to see everything. But remember you are not in the center, it´s 4 or 5 miles away, and costs 3 euros by taxi. If you are there on a business trip it is better if you stay in the center, whereas this is a hotel to come and spend the weekend or a few days of relaxation. The hotel overlooks the sea, but there is no good public beach, so go to the "private beaches" , which in reality are actually aquatic centers and swimming pools. The hotel has a pretty good restaurant, Italian and French food, and a bar. The double room costs 110 euros, 80 euros for a single, which is a bit expensive, but at least you are assured of a sea view. There´s a discount if you stay longer. In total there is a capacity of over 100 people in 60 rooms.

    Tropicana Hotel
The Tropicana Hotel is located in the suburb of Ain Diab on the boardwalk by the sea in Casablanca. The great thing is that you wake up with sea views, and Ain Diab is a quiet neighborhood used to having tourists. There are also plenty of restaurants and bars and nightclubs. The downside is that you are far from the center. The number 9 bus will take you half an hour but the taxis take less time and costs 3 EUR. The hotel has 5 outdoor pools plus an indoor pool. There is a beach party occupied as a private beach, but the sea isn´t great for swimming. The rooms, 60 in total, all have a view of the sea and are little cabins that are organized in a corridor outside around the pool. They have a private bathroom, television and air conditioning. Prices are about 70 euros for a single, 90 for a double, and 110 for a triple.

    Riad Salam hotel
The Riad Salam Hotel is on the boardwalk in Casablanca, in the lively district of Ain Diab. Do not expect to swim in the sea nearby, but the hotel has a pool protected from the wind and waves of the Atlantic. The city center is 3 miles away which comes out to about 2 euros by taxi, but it is nice to go out at night. The bars, restaurants and clubs are only 10 minutes away by foot. Inside the hotel it is similar to Europe. Besides the pool, there is a tennis court, a sauna, a sunroom ... Prices are from 200 euros per night, with a minimum of 2 nights. East West Hotel
The East West Hotel is in Gautier neighborhood, between Moulay Youssef Blvd. and Zerktouni Blvd. Gautier is one of the nicest neighborhoods in Casablanca, because you can go anywhere on foot, there are a lot of bars and restaurants, for example, the same East West Hotel has an Irish pub below it, as well as a tea room. To discover the city, the mosque is fifteen minutes away on foot, the coast too, but it's not a place you should go swimming. La Medina, the historic neighborhood, and the quiet Habous neighborhood are further away, but you shouldn't have to spend more than 2 euros on a taxi to get there. They have good reception and there you can get train, plan and concert tickets. It also has 24 hour room service and the rooms have satellite tv.
    Youth Hostels in Casablanca
    Albergue de Juventud
Near the port, in the neighborhood of the old medina, is this youth hostel. It is a popular neighborhood, and the hostel is in a beautiful old square of the area. It´s not dangerous at night, but there are all types of people out and you need to expect that. The hostel is close to the train station Casa Port, and the CTM bus terminal. If you get to Casa Voyageurs or to the main bus station of Ouled Ziane, it should cost about 2 euros by taxi (up to 3 people) to arrive. The taxis generally use the meter but if not, you will have to ask them to do it. The hostel is in an old house, with a courtyard. The rooms are small and not very bright, but clean. One of the cheapest places in the city to stay.

    Helvetia Hotel
The Helvetia Hotel is in the heart of Casablanca, near Marrakech. It is located in quite a commercial area, but just a few miles from the desert. It is clean and some rooms have a balcony. Showers are shared and there is only a sink in the rooms. The hotel is a five minute walk from the station Casa Port.

    Central Hotel
The Central Hotel is in the heart of Casablanca. It´s a nice play during daytime, but as there is a square in front they say it is better to return by taxi, because there are always young kids around who can be bored and decide to bother you. It is an old hotel in the historical part of the city, five minutes 5 minutes away from the Sqala, Bab Marraksh, and two mosques. The hotel is cheap, no more than 15 Euros a head, but the rooms have not been renovated in a long time, but it is clean and pleasant. Upstairs there is a terrace where you can see everything. They serve breakfast downstairs or on the terrace. It's a bit too noisy. There are many low-budget backpackers. There are double rooms, triples, and quadruples. Some have ocean views, but you are in the industrial port, not that there's much to see!

    Jnane Sherazade hotel
It is located east of the neighborhood Habbous, a traditional neighborhood with a place to buy handicrafts. Founded in 1953 by the parents of the current owner , it was the first "guest house" luxury in Casablanca. The reception and rooms are decorated in Art Deco style. The rooms are named after flowers. Some examples are mimosa, violet, jasmine, jacaranda ..., the hotel has only 8 rooms, but they are beautiful, at least the four I saw. Every bathroom has a predominant color and is decorated with detail. There are bathrobes and towels in bathroom colors such as green, blue, purple. It has a beautiful garden with iron tables and chairs and lanterns and the breakfast was great. They served us on the terrace. It is located in a fairly quiet residential area. Outside it doesn´t look like a hotel, in fact it does not have the name on the door. As for the price, it was around 110 euros for a double room with breakfast.

    Hôtel Diwan Casablanca
The Hotel Diwane House, Casablanca, is a purely functional one in the city. It´s not known for being cozy because the huge rooms seem to escape from the eyes of the designers as there are many spots without furniture. The use of marbles and granites further cools the atmosphere which is already neutral although the cushions and couches don´t give a cozy feeling. The staff service was nothing more than decent. The breakfast buffet is something different, the fruit is exquisite and there were some sweet pastries that dissolve in your mouth. As for the location, not exactly central, as it is one of the typical hotels with nearby points of interest like United Nations Square, Place Mohammed V and Hassan II Mosque. Regional Nearby points of interest also include Port of Casablanca and Parc de la Ligue Arabe. Not a hotel for a holiday, but for one night it´s not bad.

    Transatlantique hotel
A century ago, the Transatlantique company first offered travelers the novel concept of a package holiday. They would go by train to Marseille, take a boat there, and spend one or two months in Morocco in the group's hotels. The Hotel Transatlantique in Casablanca has retained its old decor, with a neo-Moroccan style. You can go to just have a drink, and there's a yard for some fresh air and, above all, the chance to escape the noise. Here you'll be away from the traffic and pollution, enjoying a little bubble of peace. Famous guests have included Edith Piaf. They also have a large collection of radios and transistors. The rooms cost about 50 euros per night. Some are modern, but the lift is a real trip back in time!
