    Bungalows in Coron
    Kubo Sa Dagat
Kubo sa Dagat is a quiet place to stay, away from the noise of the small town of Coron and surrounded by mangroves. In fact it is one of my favorite spots in Coron. The cabins are very basic, but you are there alone with just yourself and the nature ... what a good holiday! And not only appreciated Corón out of water, but also within, fish, corals, colors ... it is a luxury holiday.

    Puerto del Sol Resort
This is a fabulous resort on a hill on the island of Busuanga, Calamian Archipelago, Philippines, next to the Japanese shipwrecks sunk in 1944 by the U.S. Army. Busuanga is becoming popular now because the new airport has several daily connections to Manila and Cebu. The resort is built on a hill overlooking the bay Puerto del Sol. The resort even features two more, and they use many ships as protection in high winds. You enter the resort at the top of the hill, or if you arrive by boat, like me, by the dive center. It features beautifully designed bungalows with super large windows, and there is an area to chill out as well as private bathrooms with views.

    Portofino Beach Resort
The Portofino Resort is friendly, comfortable and close to Sabang beach. It's also very close to the dive centres and village. It has a lot of shops and activities, but it's not fancy. It still has all the amenities one could wish for without using the word luxury. The rooms are comfortable and pleasant with a small, nice kitchen. The hotel is opposite the beach, but you can't swim there because there are lots of rocks. You have to bike to Witte Beach 10 minutes away for a state of relaxation and peace.

    Ipil Travelodge hotel
This hotel is next to El Nido beach, and is modern with AC and nice rooms. What is particularly special about the hotel are the great views from the rooftop restaurant, the highest point of the village. It offers 360 degrees of spectacular views of the bay and there are limestone pinnacles in the back.

    Josefina´s Pension
I booked one night, but in the end I stayed for 3 nights and for the price of one night, 16 €. I had a private room with a TV, AC and bathroom, and they picked me up for free at the airport. I got a welcome cocktail, peanuts, and a shell necklace. I think that even in hotel with more stars, the customer service is not this good. The only thing that I didn't like was the breakfast. You have to say the night before what time you want breakfast and what you want to eat. It was late and cold as it was put on the table, but not everything can't be perfect. The family that runs it are super friendly and attentive, and the place is very quiet, it is a 20 minute walk from downtown Puerto Princesa

    Summer Connection Beach Resort
White Beach is the beach preferred by Manilenos, and on weekends the atmosphere is quiet, but this resort is on the quiet side of the beach. The rooms have A / C and start from 30 € and cabins from 600 pesos = 10 € and a cheap restaurant. The owner, Nestor is an inexhaustible source of information about the island.

    Portofino Beach Resort
Away from the madness of Sabang, there is the vastly superior small Laguna Beach. This resort offers a relaxing atmosphere, with two pools, one at the top, with beautiful sea views, and the other on the beach, with a bar. Accommodation ranges from single rooms to a villa with up to 4 bedrooms, terraces and panoramic views. The Veranda restaurant is very good with moderate prices, and a first class service. If you prefer being close to the beach, ask for one of the lower rooms, if you prefer the scenic views, ask for an upper room.

    Lally and Abet Beach Resort
It has two places on the beach in El Nido, one in the town center, catering for backpackers, where I stayed, but at the end of the beach is another aptly named resort, with cabins and bungalows. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they are always smiling, the rooms are very simple but clean and comfortable.

    Submariner Dive Centre hotel
Although I didn't dive with this company because I chose to do other things during my last few days in the Philippines. Some of my friends who I was travelling with, one of them was a dive-master, and they went diving with this company and told me they were very professional. With over 30 dive sites of various levels, El Nido is a good place for both beginners and advanced. My friends dove at Miniloc, Paglugaban, Entalula and Popolcan with reefs, vertical walls, rock formations and a maze. They saw schools of fish and a diverse marine life like parrotfish, snappers, barracudas, groupers, turtles, nudibranches and more.

    Resto Bar Disco Toro hotel
El Toro is situated right on the beach in El Nido, and is one of the more nightlife places, especially for foreigners since it is not cheap. It has good music in a restaurant style bar lounge with comfortable puffs where you sit down to dinner. Fresh fish and a the odd Spanish specialty, because one of the owners is a native of that country, and it serves high quality cocktails made with fresh fruit.

    El Nido Garden Beach Resort
I went to dinner with some friends who were staying at the resort, and I loved it. It has a great location on the beach. It features a nice pool and beautiful gardens, and the rooms are large with AC. The bar/restaurant is also quite good, with regional fish and seafood.
    Guesthouses in Puerto Princesa
    Puerto Pension
Puerto Pension is one of the nicest places in Puerto Princesa, with rooms from € 17 with air conditioning and televisions, ethnic decor and a roof terrace overlooking the bay, where there is a nice restaurant on a quiet street. Within just 5 minutes walk is the market and supermarkets, and within 10 minutes Avenida Rizal (the main road), which has a free airport shuttle. The airport is only 4km away.

    Daluyon Beach and Mountain Resort
The Daluyon Beach and Mountain Resort isn't just a beautiful resort on a not yet crowded beach. The owner is an environmentalist and he's applied many sustainable measures, such as energy saving LED lamps throughout the resort, along with its use of renewable resources, solar panels in the bungalows. These and other changes have earned him awards like the CarbonZero group membership, which is for hotels that offset their own CO2 emissions. The bungalows are beachfront, with two floors, and there's also a pool with mountain views. The restaurant is beautiful, decorated with traditional Philippine and Palawan masks that resemble something African. When it rains, sometimes the hotel puts together a covered buffet or a barbeque. Sabangs is growing rapidly in popularity because it now takes less than two hours to get there from Puerto Princesa. Sabang is part of the National Underground River Puerto Princesa, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the natural wonders of humanity.

    Tandikan Beach Cottages
Tandikan beach cottages is simple. It only has three rooms built with native designs on the beachfront. There are two doubles and a cottage. It's managed by a brother and sister - Pedro and Maria Fernandez. It's one of the most economical options in El Nido. For just € 11/night, you get a room with fan, warm water in the morning, and electricity from 3 pm to 6 am.

    Cadlao Beach Resort
The Cadlao resort has only recently opened, and is undoubtedly the best option for the medium-high price level in El Nido. It's a beautiful beach resort with one of the best views of the bay at sunset. To compensate for its lack of private beach, it has an amazing infinity pool. The site is beautifully decorated and is a quiet calm. The high quality restaurant has moderate prices. The owner is aware of everything and is very helpful. Since El Nido has bylaws cutting power from 2 pm to 6 pm, and the resort operates at this time by generator, there is no in-room AC, but they are well constructed and ventilated, so it's not necessary. It's one of the few places in El Nido that accepts credit cards.

    Taraw Beach Cottages
The Taraw Beach Cottages is one of the best and affordable options in Sabang, which only has a few accommodations. Yes, it is a very popular resort for Filipinos, which means there are entire families with several children stuck in a room and it can generally be quite noisy. You can order off the a la carte menu, or from a very nice full buffet. The electricity is not very reliable in Sabang, so sometimes at night the fan stops working and the heat can be stifling. The best part though is that you're 2 meters from the beautiful beach of Sabang.

    Sheridan Beach Resort and Spa
I didn't stay at the Sheridan, but I ate there with some friends I met on tour to the underground river. The Sheridan is a luxury resort with a spectacular view of its huge pool, but I found it a little like something you would find in Las Vegas. It's quite expensive, over $100/night and my friends told me it was very expensive unless you were on a package tour like them. Apparently it's not worth it to pay full price, because the service wasn't great even though the rooms and the resort was very good.

    Roberts Resort
Roberts Resort has several bungalows on the beach for 10€/night, with even better deals if you spend several nights there. The restaurant is the most popular in Sabang, and it's always full of Filipinos. The electricity is turned on from 6pm to 11pm, and there are bed screens because of the mosquitoes. The beach is literally on your doorstep.

Coral Bay Beach and Dive Resort
The archipelago consists of over 100 islands in northern Palawan, and it is on the island where the resort is the last one before the Philippines. It takes an hour by boat from Busuanga, but the trip is worth it because when you arrive you find a beautiful resort owned by a Danish couple ve built a piece of paradise, beach, reef diving, hammock and relax. You can see amazing sunsets every day on the boa. You can go out to see to dive along the wrecks of Busuanga, about 45 minutes away, and one day I went diving in the Black Isle, so named because it is of volcanic origin, and has a cave with a small lake inside.

    Sea View Dive Resort
The Sea view, as its name indicates, is nestled on the edge of the sea, and has, in addition, a reputed dive centre (I didn't use it though). It's a pretty nice resort with rooms starting at €20, and a bar at the top that has perhaps the best view of White Beach, serving San Miguel beer for less than 1€.
