    Makuto Guesthouse Backpackers Hostel
It is one of the best hostels I've stayed in, the best as far as environment goes. There are excellentvibes and a staff that makes you feel at home. And it's the first time I'd ever seen hammocks, tree houses, and chill out area in a hostel. It's super original! We had a really good time. Traveler environment: young people, many activities, great location. Thanks Makuteros!!

Hotel Macià Real De La Alhambra
Highly recommended hotel. Great price for a four star, great breakfast buffet, excellent Arab baths to relax in one evening after a day of skiing. This hoel is about 30 km. from Sierra Nevada, about a 30' drive but worth staying in. Friendly staff, spacious rooms, quiet, all in all a good experience. Page http://www.maciahoteles.com

Hospes Palacio de los Patos hotel
A luxurious hotel in the centre of Granada. While the locals offer is essentially based on renovated historical buildings turned into hotels, the Palacio de los Patos (Duck Palace) is an avant-garde building offering an accommodation completely different from the rest. To get to this the Hospes chain hotel you have to head to the centre. Passing by the front of the Cathedral, in the direction of the slope to the Alhambra, you must turn right choosing to go down. This splendid hotel is located in front of Plaza del Carmen, the square of the town hall. It has a parking lot in its large fenced garden, as well as an interior garage. Its conception is surprising: it was already cutting edge when it was built at the beginning of the century. It corresponds to a style known as iron and crystal architecture, mainly dedicated to industrial functions. In this building there is a reception, as well as common rooms. Next to it a building of avant-garde style was built, complete with 47 rooms. They are really modern, with parquet flooring and crystal walls with views to the gardens. Of course, it has all the facilities expected of a five star hotel, meaning it’s only right that the two main services be highlighted: the restaurant and the spa. The latter has a spectacular design, adapted to a demanding public used to high standards. In this spa the service based on essences stands out the most. The restaurant is one of the most important in Andalusia. It is based on seasonal produce mixing sea and land flavours with original presentations. More than creative, it is an avant-garde cuisine. It must be said that the price is indeed in line with the sublime luxury of this hotel located so perfectly. It is right in the centre, at the feet of the Alhambra and facing the Cathedral and the Alcaicería. The night costs between 150 and 200€.

    Camino de Granada hotel
This hotel is located in the outskirts of Granada, where you can park for sure. It has a parking lot for clients and there is a lot of free space around, since much of the streets there belong to an industrial zone, empty from the end of the afternoon onwards. It is only three kilometers away from the urban center, next to the neighborhood of Chana and parallel to the highway of the coast. But to make sure you do not get lost, the best is, when you come from the west, to take the first detour on the right after passing the airport. And keep going straight until you end up in the Fatinamar industrial zone, the hotel is on the main way. In order to load and unload the car there is a traffic branch in front of the hotel. There is also a very big and busy restaurant on the opposite side. On the left side of the hotel you can access the clients' parking. The service is fast and the procedure minimal, they do not detain you like in other places, you get your magnetic card fast. If you follow this corridor you go down to the cafeteria. It is large and has a direct access to the gardens and the swimming-pool. The prices of the cafeteria are worth taking into account, the only thing I don't like is that the internet access works with coins and you don't know in advance how much you can spend. To give an example, a coffee costs 1.10€ and a complete toast 0.90€, like anywhere else basically. In the other part of the corridor, next to the main entrance to the hotel, of three superior stars, there is a way down to the breakfast buffet room. I think I remember there were the conference rooms and the lift there. The bedroom looks completely new. The hotel looks recently inaugurated, there is nothing looking old. On the right side there is the bathroom, complete of course. Then you find a twin-room with two individual beds put together, a televisor, the usual furniture, the mini-fridge and a balcony on the courtyard of the building. Since the weather was nice, we did not really care about the air conditioning the hotel is obviously equipped with. An interesting fact is that the floor of the bedroom was made of "pergola", some kind of platform on which a lighted cigarette can fall without consequences. We could not hear any noise from the inside. We had some reservations in the beginning for being next to the airport but it is quite far away and the area is quiet. We did not go to the restaurant because we went to Granada during the day, but every time we made use of the room service we were surprised about how fast, professional and good it was. I should mention that there was a wedding going on at the same time, the celebration took place just next to the swimming-pool. This is to show that it is not expensive, the bride would have chosen another place otherwise. So I will finish talking about the prices of this stunning hotel. We paid 40€ a night, which is a real bargain if you consider that hotels in the center of lower category, lower quality and less space cost twice as much. I recommend this hotel because it has space, it is quiet, cheap, and comfortable.

    El Ladrón De Agua hotel
Lately the so-called "charming hotels" have become fashionable. Well, if the one who invented this definition doesn't know El Ladrón del Agua yet, he or she is quite late. It is for sure one of the most special hotels I’ve stayed at. And it is not that it is luxurious or anything (even though it is far from being poor), it just has something I can't explain that makes it special. Maybe it is that window that opens and gives you the actual Alhambra. It maybe the excellent remodelling. Perhaps it is the history as a traditional small mansion town house or the good taste of the owners in its decoration. I don't know. But there is something I can tell you: if you go to Granada and find a room at a price right for your budget, do not hesitate: This hotel will not disappoint in the slightest.

    Casa de la Catedral
This building is very central; our room overlooked the cathedral. It really has it all ... clean, friendly staff, and above all cheap, at 45 € for a night. What more could you want? It is tiny but you have a small kitchenette, although to be honest if you're in Granada you'll want to try the free tapas, so we didn't use it.

    Abadía Hotel
We spent three days in this hotel, and were delighted with it. It's very quiet, despite its location in the city centre, a few steps from the cathedral and the historic neighbourhood of Albaicin. Our room was the suite, number 401, with a balcony and a jacuzzi tub for two. We had a lovely view of the city, and it was very romantic. We recommend it! The staff were attentive and friendly, and helped us with our bags and the car. Parking cost 14 € a day. Granada is a beautiful city, well worth a visit, and a hotel like this one, with a really authentic Andalucian feel, is the perfect choice.

    Hotel Saray
Hotel Saray is a friendly and welcoming hotel with good service and an attentive staff. The rooms are modern but cozy, with Arabic-style decoration. The center is just a fifteen minutes' walk away, so it's not worth taking the bus or driving. It's well-located, and a good place to stay.

    Spa Senator Granada
A nice hotel if you are looking to relax in the spa (excellent), or enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner. To be a true 4 star hotel, the rooms should be a bit bigger, but if I had to rate it, I'd give it 9/10.

    Posada Doña Lupe
The Posada Doña Lupe is a perfect place for those on a budget who want simple rooms with or without bathroom, in a quiet, young environment. Double room with bathroom cost around 30 euros. It's located in the magical area of the Alhambra, next to the gardens of the Generalife, the Charles V Palace, and the Manuel de Falla Auditorium. It easy to get to from the highway and from Sierra Nevada, a perfect starting point for exploring the city and its sights without having to use the car. To access downtown, just walk down the Alhambra promenade (wonderful) and in about 15 minutes you'll be in the "heart" of Granada. Thanks to being somewhat out of downtown, it's a quiet place. There's a swimming pool and restaurant and the rooms are very basic but clean. For me, it's the perfect accommodation for backpackers or people who are on a budget. It's even cheaper than a hostel. Comfortable and friendly, with a fantastic location and lovely staff. There is free internet, credit cards are accepted and pets are allowed. In addition, there's a laundry service and saef parking.

    Casa Horno del Oro
Charming hotel at the feet of the Alhambra. We had the opportunity to stay at this small hotel right in Albaicín during our trip to Granada, and the truth is we have been recommending it to our family since then. The location can simply not be better: from the hotel terrace you have one of the best views of the city, nothing less than the Alhambra. Inside, the hotel is lovely, with a décor that is very "Granada", a mix of Arab and Christian elements. Some of the rooms, though, are quite small, especially the only double-room they have. The others are en suite and frankly are another matter.

A hotel in an old, renovated downtown building with all the amenities. It's perfect for couples, the suites have a sitting room and kitchen with everything you need. It's very clean and the staff is very attentive. The experience was a 10/10.If you're going by car, call ahead to reserve a parking place.

A charming hotel in the centre of Granada. With its patio, library, wishing tree, and themed rooms, staying here is like immersing yourself in the past. The location is perfect, and the staff will make you feel right at home. One of my favourite spots in the city, highly recommended.

AC Palacio de Santa Paula Hotel, Autograph Collection, A Marriott Luxury & Lifestyle Hotel
The AC Palacio de Santa Paula Hotel is a 5-star hotel in the historic center of Granada, near the city's two most popular districts: the Albayzin and Sacromonte. The hotel is located in the Convent of Santa Paula (XVI century) and a Moorish House (XVII century), both National Heritage Sites. Thanks to careful restoration, it has preserved its old-fashioned charm while adding modern convenience. The perfect hotel for lovers of art and history.

    Abades Nevada Palace hotel
The Abades Nevada Palace is a great place to start your trip to Costa Tropical. It's located in the outskirts of Granada, but still only a 6 euro taxi ride from downtown, 30 minutes from the slopes in Sierra Nevada, and 45 minutes from the beaches and winding streets of Motril, Salobreña, and Almuñecar. The hotel rooms are modern and extremely comfortable, many with great views of the mountains. Supposedly, the Abades Palace is also home to a top-notch spa but we didn't have a chance to try it out. In the summer, there's an awesome pool, deck, and place to have a drink outside.

    Parador de Granada
Located within the grounds of the Alhambra (You must show your reservation to get through with the car) this former Franciscan convent is a delight: with very modern rooms in a beautifully restored historic building. The views of the Generalife and the gardens themselves are enjoyable. The setting is unique and particularly magical; so we have to remind ourselves at times that we are still within the grounds of the Alhambra.

    Oasis Backpackers' Hostel Granada
Not long ago I read an article about "twenty-first century hostels", making them suddenly seem cool. They're the only option for me when I travel - not only because of the price, but also because of the generally cool atmosphere, and the fact that they don't usually charge for wifi like a lot of hotels do. Anyway, that said - the Oasis Backpackers Hostel in Granada is a beautiful hostel, with breakfast included, good nightlife, and something even cooler: a roof terrace with loungers to lay the hours in the sun. The rooms are clean, with wooden bunk beds, new sheets and real bathrooms integrated in each room. They also have balconies. The photos do not do it justice, but believe me when I say that it is pretty good. And centrally-located, with very friendly staff.
