    Hotels in La Alberca
Hotel Termal Abadia de Los Templarios
This large resort hotel has no more and no less than 62,000 meters squared. It's in the Natural Park Las Batuecas Sierra de Francia, and serves as an enclave to the English Village (one of the sites of this organization) where one week language immersion courses are held. It's "forbidden" to speak Spanish there. You live with English speakers all day and your oral comprehension is improved (it's very good, but not very affordable). This part of the hotel consists of houses that try to recreate a typical village. It's virtually impossible to make reservations, since the English village is occupied throughout the year. The hotel itself recreates a kind of typical medieval castle architecture mixed with that of Albercas. It's 1 kilometre from the village. It has exceptional facilities, cafeteria, restaurants, and the all brick spa is spectacular. The rooms are very large and comprehensive. It's worth stopping to admire the wood panelling, and the huge and manicured gardens with pools.

Hacienda Zorita Wine Hotel & Spa
It belongs to a group of haciendas in Spain, a series of lodgings called Wine Hotel. It is an old fourteenth-century Dominican monastery, now converted into a winery and luxury accommodation. A beautiful site surrounded by nature and the river Tormes, just 14 km from Salamanca. The facilities are fully restored and you are within an environment that evokes only tranquillity. Ideal for relaxing. The building which houses the hotel is called La Casa Grande and below it runs a river diversion that was used for the old convent mill. The restaurant is the old refectory. In the hacienda you are offered the chance to take a course in wine tasting and visit wineries. You also get the chance for treatment based on vinotherapy.

    Hotel Torre del Clavero
As we wanted to get to know Salamanca (it’s beautiful), not know anything, after a long look on the internet, this hotel was our choice as we wanted to be central with little noise at night. The truth is that it is two minutes from the Salamanca Plaza Mayor or the core of the capital and when in this city everything is within one kilometre. It is very clean and cosy, rooms are standard with everything necessary for life in them, if you bring a computer Wi-Fi does not exist, but all rooms have a cable connection (offered to us at reception). Breakfast was included in the price, the usual: juice, toast, croissants and a few cakes. If I repeat the trip, I will stay at the same hotel. (Parking available).

Posada Real Castillo del Buen Amor
When the bull territories of Zamora turn to Salamanca meadows and it seems that one can find nothing but pastures, you discover, on a battered track, the Castillo del Buen Amor (Good Love Castle) This fifteenth century Gothic fortress, surrounded by empty fields with green patches of holm oaks is like a hallucination. It is impossible to escape the atmosphere it oozes. It feels as if you've stepped back in time and you find yourself in a hunting palace, where gentlemen and guests enjoy the good life. Furnished with an exquisiteness and a refinement that it closer to a palace than a fortress, full of details, tapestries, oil paintings, suits of armour - worthy of a museum, the castle has six rooms that are interwoven through a labyrinth of vaults, corridors and stairways and overlook a great Renaissance courtyard. The charming bedrooms, mix contemporary touches with antique elements. The castle is surrounded by 116 acres dotted with copses of oaks and pines. In short: a fairy-tale, for very special occasions.
    Paradors in Salamanca
    Parador de Salamanca
This Parador (state-run tourist hotel), apart from being a hotel in which to stay, is a beautiful place to watch the fireworks of Salamanca. There is a very good atmosphere and everyone is welcome. The housekeeping service is great. I encourage couples go: it is very romantic and has some very beautiful gardens. When my boyfriend and I went one night, we stayed out having drinks and watching the stars, it was a precious experience. In addition, the Parador de Salamanca has many things that other hotels do not: for example, free internet in the rooms. If you do go, have a pleasant stay.
    Paradors in Ciudad Rodrigo
    Parador de Ciudad Rodrigo
Having stayed in several Paradores (state-run tourist hotel), this one seduced me with its medieval appearance. So for that reason I celebrated my birthday there in an upgraded room with a canopy: a patio enclosed by French windows that is converted into a light-filled room of the Parador. Everywhere breaths history ... the precious upholstery, framework... Do not fail to enter the bar: it has a beautiful ceiling and a famous restaurant that is well known for its exquisite Parador cuisine and in this locale to remember. The staffs are attentive at all times. And the city, beautiful, unique.

    Hotel San Polo
We were staying in a Hotel Suite and enjoyed the best views of the Cathedrals as well as the convent of San Esteban and the Carmelite Church. From the private terrace overlooking the Cathedral we enjoyed a bottle of champagne. In short, it was an unforgettable stay.

    Vincci Ciudad de Salamanca hotel
Rather modern hotel, recently built (2002-2003). Located across the river Tormes, not far from downtown, near the Palacio de Congresos, a 15-20 minute walk or 5 euros in taxi. The truth is that it is more of a business hotel, but it deals very well with the needs of any tourist despite not being near the Cathedral or the Plaza. The good thing is that the area is very quiet, as there is little around ... Well; there is a Lidl that comes in handy to buy a few things and not spend a fortune in the hotel. But one sleeps with hardly any noise and no parking problems (parking in the hotel is 10 euros a day, but is not necessary). In regards to the hotel it’s very good. The hall is spacious with café and seating area, staff very friendly and very patient (I mention it if you go for stag night or something similar and you make a little mess…). Of course, all very clean and cared for. The rooms (there are around 80) are very comprehensive, with minibar, large TV, large and comfortable beds, wireless internet, ample wardrobe space, a safe that is activated by credit card.... And the bathroom with shower and bathtub, so that the customer can choose. And all the comforts you may need, such as soaps, caps, sponges, toothbrushes... Breakfast is also very complete, but better to get it together with the room as it is a bit expensive, although just opposite the hotel there is a bar where you can eat a good breakfast for a lot less money. It also has spacious function rooms for conferences or meetings, all very complete. And inside is the restaurant Via Plata, very small with a not too extensive menu, but of great quality, although in Salamanca it is best to eat tapas and the like in the centre. The price, as everywhere, varies according to date, but the average is about 60 euros per double room without breakfast. In short, a pretty good option value when visiting Salamanca. Although not right in the centre, it does not take anything to walk and at night it’s very quiet, no noise of people drinking on the streets or cars honking like crazy not letting one sleep.

    Grand Hotel Don Gregorio
This is by far the best hotel I've ever been in. We didn't stay in the best suite, and it still surprised me - a huge room, amenities like bathrobes and slippers, and all the gels and creams. A giant jacuzzi, lovely location, and good buffet. The quality justifies the price. Would definitely return.

Not very well located, 15 minutes walk from the centre. A good hotel though; the best thing about it was the staff, in both the reception and the restaurant.

    Sercotel Las Torres hotel
Rooms old and some refurbshed. Cleaning lint is bad enough under the bed and there was a peanut for a week on the ground. Very bright and with room for a patio where you see pipes and plumbing. No toothbrush or knife and a big tub of the 16th century. If you want a bad experience and pay a crazy price this is your place.
