It is the most luxurious hotel in Seville, and would surely compete with any in the world.
The king who gives it its name was the one who ordered its construction in 1928 to be the most luxurious in Europe, as part of the works that were being carried out in Seville for the Latin American Exhibition of 1929.
Its list of tenants includes numerous royal families and personalities from all prestigious social ambits. All kinds of high-level services are available on demand.
The atmosphere breathed inside is one of being surrounded by the finest luxury and elegance, bordering on the excessive without ever falling into it. Its location is also privileged, very close to the Alcázar, the Cathedral, the Giralda, Plaza de España, the University, Maria Luisa Park, the Archive of the Indies and the entire historical city centre.
Recently, it has benefited from the pedestrianization and redevelopment of the surroundings as well as the arrival of the "tram" or "metrocentro", which has helped free Seville of the heavy traffic of cars and buses circulating in the area.
Obviously, it isn’t within reach of every budget but it’s worth a visit, one must pay attention to the habitual offerings they tend to have with discounts that make for very interesting prices. To treat yourself.
Outwardly, one might imagine that there are better hotels in Seville, but once you stay there you start to doubt that from the start.
The staff just right, very friendly without overwhelming. The facilities perfect, with leisure and relaxation zones.
As always, the Silken chain leave their mark on all of their hotels: careful design, beautiful and practical rooms, exquisite service from the staff and facilities worthy of being enjoyed.
The area, not exactly in the centre is in a privileged part of Seville, near the centre but in quiet area where the residents all have great homes.
The Central NH Convention hotel is located in the business area of Seville, close to another NH hotel, the Viapol, and minutes away from Sanchez Pizjuan stadium.
It is a pretty cool hotel. Very large and with all kinds of amenities: pool, spa, etc.., besides the usual comfort and care of NH, which usually never disappointed.
The rooms are quite large and new as well as clean and tidy. The bathroom, incidentally, is very modern and practical.
Overall a great hotel to rest tranquilly in the beautiful city of Seville and only ten minutes by taxi from downtown.
In the sunny and touristic Andalusian city of Seville, is the Hotel Tryp Macarena Seville, a beautiful 4 star hotel, in the historic heart of the town, surrounded by many points of interest such as broad Walls Macarena, Barqueta Bridge, the Metropol Parasol, the Giralda tower or the Murillo Gardens. The Tryp Macarena Hotel is fully equipped with rooms designed by and for the relaxation of their customers.
It is a four star hotel located very close to the centre of Seville. It is conveniently situated being only 500 meters from the railway station (Santa Justa).
Since the last time I was there, they have renovated the lobby and the lounges, but the rooms are a bit dated. The hotel has a swimming pool open from May, important as its Seville.
The Hotel Alcoba del Rey is located in the city of Seville. The hotel was renovated in 2004 and consists of two buildings. Each building has 15 rooms, some with wheelchair access. Its facilities feature a lobby with lifts, a reception open 24 hours a day with a safe, a conference room and Internet access. The hotel also has a bar, a café and a restaurant. From the hotel guests can visit the Basilica of La Macarena, La Macarena Walls and Bridge Barquera.
As in all NH hotels, you find quality, well-managed and outstanding customer service.
The NH Viapol is found in the centre of Seville. It has a good lounge, spacious rooms with TV, internet access, parking, etc., but the best part is the breakfast: Pa amb tomàquet (Bread with tomato), juices, etc.
It is a recommendable four-star hotel with six floors. We were there during Eventoblog 2007, and the truth is that the city was packed. I think it was one of the only hotels with rooms available. The double room is around 100 € per night.
The value for money at AC Hotels is usually a guarantee. Once again this guarantee has been met at the Hotel AC Ciudad de Sevilla, our choice for the Evento Blog España.
The AC Ciudad de Sevilla hotel is located in what was a former mansion, although it was renovated and adapted to current times.
On the outside, it has a spectacular brick and ceramic facade. Inside, a design blend of glass, steel and lights that often gives very good results.
The rooms are large and consist of everything needed for a pleasant stay. On TV you can even watch satellite television. The Mejorana restaurant is amazing and their buffets, free at breakfast, are marvellous capped by a delicious ham.
As for the location, I have to say it is not their strong point, but it is a road passage along which many taxis and buses circulate with which are not difficult to reach the key areas of Seville. In general, the Hotel AC Ciudad de Sevilla is a good choice.
Eme Fusion Hotel is a 5 star hotel, which usually means an exorbitant price tag. I was passing by and I stayed for a night, it is clear from the price that it is not an ordinary 3 star but it was not expensive, the service was superb and excellent and the facilities almost indescribable. It fuses modernity with relaxation and if you do not want to forget the Sevillian traditional culture, you just have to look out the window to find the Giralda monument in front of the hotel. Near the hotel there are several restaurants with great menus. On the roof you can enjoy the pool and in the evening a magnificent drinks terrace. I highly recommend it, being closer to the centre would be impossible! Enjoy.
The Novotel Marqués hotel in Seville is located in the Nervión neighbourhood, alongside the Sanchez Pizjuan stadium and near the Santa Justa train station, which is where the AVE us.
Prices for double rooms are between 50 and 75 € depending on the season and are quite good.
The buildings facilities are nice and the breakfast is also good. Internet is free, either from the reception computers (iMac) or the wireless in the rooms.
Those who live in the wonderful neighbourhood of Santa Cruz in Seville, say that Don Juan Tenorio took shape on these tables since Zorrilla was a regular customer at this inn and it was here that he wrote it.
Legends aside, you are right in the neighbourhood just stepping outside its doors, upon exiting you're at the plaza de los Venerables and a short distance away you have the plaza de la Santa Cruz. What’s more, barely a five minute walk away, and after crossing the narrow streets, Water, Life, you’re at the feet of the Giralda, want more? Yes, comfort, and you have it: renovated, comfortable and spacious rooms.
Even more? Dining? Yes, a restaurant on the ground floor that delves deep into the wonders of great Seville cuisine. The oxtail is essential as well as economic.
The best thing about the Zenit Sevilla Hotel is its location: in the neighbourhood of Triana, very near the Isabel II Bridge. Add to that the proper cleaning, extremely spacious rooms with good mattresses, a more than acceptable breakfast buffet, friendly and helpful service and Wi-Fi in the rooms, fast and that works really well.
To give any one snag, I would say that the decor of both the bedroom and the bathroom are a bit outdated, although the bathroom is also spacious, clean and refreshed daily with hygiene products.
We opted to travel by AVE from Madrid, but if you go by car the area is complicated in terms of parking, making it necessary to use the hotel parking, the price is high (about 20 € / day), although with the Zenith Club card, its free and if you sign on at reception, a little cheaper (10% discount).
You have Wi-Fi in your rooms, its fast and works very well, i.e. perfect internet.
This four-star hotel belongs to Catalonia Hotels chain and is located in the centre of Seville, a short distance away from the famous Casa de Pilatos (House of Pilate), quite near the station of Santa Justa (AVE and railways).
You can reach the historic quarter (Alcázar and cathedral) on foot taking about 10-15 minutes. However, it is quite hard to find because it lies in a recess to the right hand side of the calle Sierra Nevada.
The building has five floors and was refurbished in 2004; it consists of 100 rooms as well as a cafe, restaurant, conference room and internet corner.
Access to the hotel is a little uncomfortable because you have to take all bags and suitcases up a grand staircase; there is also nowhere to park. The common areas on the ground floor are all of marble and they have a spacious lobby with multiple chairs to sit on. From here there is access to the cafeteria, where you will find a small bar, a large flat screen TV hung on the wall and wicker chairs.
The room was nice, very spacious, clean, and decorated in a modern design. It looked brand new, with parquet floors, doors opened with magnetic card, heating and air conditioning...
As for the furnishing it had the typical: two beds with their tables, fitted wardrobe with safe, a desk where you found the minibar and a TV (satellite channels, etc.). It had free Wi-Fi internet connection.
The bathroom was huge, all covered with marble, with a large bathtub from wall to wall (with curtain), and a worktop where you found the sink and a massive mirror above. It had a full range of amenities as well as a hairdryer.
In short, a very recommendable hotel, as its well located (not in the historic centre but you can walk there), and well-priced, 56 € per night for the double room. The only downside is the parking.
