On the pavement right in front of the White House is a little tent surrounded by banners...the home of Concepcion Piccoto. This lady was born in Vigo, but has obtained American citizenswhip. In her sixties, she's lived here in front of the White House for 26 years, protesting against nuclear weapons and for world peace. The truth is that she started protesting after finding herself with nothing following her divorce to an American political official. She's been here for a long time, living off donations from tourists and passers-by, and using toilets and showers in a nearby homeless shelter. Talking to her, I found her a very passionate person.
