Agony Chapel

In front of the Chapel of the Last Supper is the Agony Chapel whose interior carvings depict Christ praying with his arms raised and an anguished face in the Garden of Olives. He is accompanied by the apostles San Juan, San Pedro and Santiago, who sit on the floor asleep. This square chapel is part of the Cross on Mount Espinho, on the climb up steps to reach the top and the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus.
