There are two cabins which are held by the same cable. When one comes up, their deposits are filled with water. The bottom one empties their deposits and this way is how the breaks make it go up while the other goes down. it´s truly ingenious and ecological. It´s a nice and pretty place. Don´t miss out.
Walking through the historic center of Braga you appreciate the distinctive Portuguese architecture. Most buildings are only 2-3 storeys high, have facades covered with tiles of different colors and sizes that give a distinctive look, large windows with paneled and glazed galleries and balconies with wrought iron grilles. Occasionally you need to look up at the details, it seems to me that is one of the things that gives Portugal a "special" charm.
