Azenhas do Mar Beach

A small appealing village on the rock, beside the sea and with amazing view. It's a good place to wander around. The village is on top of the Rock. The waves break at the foot of a Restaurant and Bar which has a natural pool which most of the time is filled with seawater. The sunsets really are lovely. Just look at the pictures.

That picture is of the Azenhas do Mar, a small town of whitewashed houses, carved into the rock. It is situated on the very cliff on the coast of Lisbon, close to Sintra. It offers a beautiful panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean. There we found a small snack bar with a terrace that is very busy, especially on Sunday mornings.
