Barcelo´s Market

Before we left our little trip to Portugal, my wife, who genuinely loves markets, and was seeking to find many of them during our stay, found this one called Barcelo. It occurs every Thursday in a place called Campo da Republica or also known as Campo da Feira, which is the largest flea market in Portugal and one of the largest in Europe. We have to go to these markets on vacation as there aren´t any in our town. It is true that if you see one rather large you may have seen them all, as the above for sale is in almost all the same. However, this is something special, perhaps its location in a truly exceptional place, perhaps his ordination by different sectors and also by the lack of grips or pushing you suffer in others.

Small town

Barcelos is a small town located in the district of Braga, which is known for its pottery since the famous Barcelos was born there with the famous rooster which is the symbol of the city, and you can find it in any corner of Portugal and currently it has thousands of designs. The main reason to visit Barcelos is its weekly market that is held every Thursday, this is the largest in Portugal and it is made in the Campo da Republica, a large Plazoleta, which has a fountain in the center of the style of Renaissance in the market you can find everything: flowers, plants, fruits, vegetables, vegetables, cheeses, breads, traditional pottery, kitchenware, clothing, footwear, carpets, animals, etc.
