Casa Roque Restaurant

This place is a classic in Morella, and its doorway is decorated with photos of famous people who’ve visited the restaurant: everyone from the Duchess of Alba to the author Camilo José Cela. It was also awarded Three Forks and other distinguished medals. They’ve created menus for diverse budgets and we tried two of them: cold appetizers to start with, then a lamb in puff-pastry, quail, migas, and curds, which were my favorite.

If you decide to go to Morella, don’t miss the Casa Roque Restaurant and its artichoke tart and delicious homemade desserts.

The ambiance is very welcoming and the service is exceptional. We tried the “Mountain Flavors” menu and it was excellent. We let the sommelier recommend a wine and we had an Emilio Clemente crianza that was stupendous on the palate. For those with a sweet tooth, I’d recommend the homemade curds. Very recommended. Average price is 25-30 Euros.
