This is a place to remember.
Besides being a club where you can have a few drinks, the restaurant offers avant-garde dishes and a spectacular decoration and with a great personality.
It has a great service and the food is very good as well. Likewise, every detail is taking care of, so we felt very comfortable there.
We were walking through Peñíscola we saw a restaurant with an incredible terrace that was protected from the insufferable July heat at the highest point of the city. Although we had to head uphill to get to it, it was worth the trip. We were a group of seven, with three being young (so we were looking for something home style). We enjoyed the service, the food (we chose a little bit of everything to share between all seven of us) and the incredible views.
The fideua was to die for, the rose wine was chilled and quality, the rice dishes (paella) cooked to perfection, the variety of tapas and appetizers was great.
After eating, we had a coffee and enjoyed the views of the beach. Highly recommended place in Peñíscola. It was about 30 € per person. We left completely satisfied.
After walking around the fort, we went down to the promenade. It was almost 11:30 pm on a Sunday, but it was very lively.
All of the restaurants were packed, but we chose this one because of the enormous illuminated board on the entrance that showed images and prices of its dishes.
Rushing by, the waiters served people inside and outside the place but always with a smile on their faces. They immediately searched for a table for us and as we waited they brought us a glass of gazpacho, on the house.
The service was quick and with reasonable prices. When we finished we received a lemon iced drink, also on the house. It has a wide menu, something for everybody: mixed plates, hamburgers, hot dogs, paellas, seafood, milkshakes, dessert…
This place is a classic in Morella, and its doorway is decorated with photos of famous people who’ve visited the restaurant: everyone from the Duchess of Alba to the author Camilo José Cela. It was also awarded Three Forks and other distinguished medals. They’ve created menus for diverse budgets and we tried two of them: cold appetizers to start with, then a lamb in puff-pastry, quail, migas, and curds, which were my favorite.
It's like eating authentic Italian pizzas in Peñiscola. This is a beachfront restaurant with two terraces and delicious ice creams. I go there more for their ice cream than anything, but I have tried their pizzas, and they were very good. They reminded me of the ones that I ate in Rome. After the renovations and expansion they did this winter, it has more space and comfort. Ciao.
We found this place before reaching the castle. Shashlik looked lovely when we walked in and the food didn't disappoint. We ordered some grilled vegetables which were spectacular (15 €) and some nice American diners suggested that we try the beef and chorizo which was wonderful. A great ambience with very friendly people.
It was the month of the artichoke and it was a wonderful experience, firstly we went tasting in the village and then we had the menu at the Neptuno Paseo Marítimo restaurant, with stunning presentation and a good deal. (Restaurant Neptuno Paseo Marítimo, 94 12580, Benicarlo, tel 964 460 555). Some items from the menu were: Entertainments Neptuno, Warm salad of artichokes with goat cheese and quail drumstick marinated in nuts, artichokes sautéed with red prawns, scallop in its shell and shrimp stuffed artichoke gratin, crispy sausage artichokes on their pilpil four cheese, sorbet of pineapple and rum, supreme pinxo of hake en papillote with artichokes or lamb shoulder recental baked with artichokes and fried potatoes, artichoke delight to quince Mascarpone cheese foam. The Wine or Cava Selection: Sparkling wine Bodegas Pinord: Reynal White and Pink, Pink Wine Marqués de Monistrol DO Penedès, Red wine special selection: Armegil Tempranillo DO Rioja, Cava: Marqués de Monistrol (Brut Nature). Bread, mineral water, coffee with snack,
Really spectacular! The paella we had that prepared for us by Jose Maria really tasted like Valencian paella. Cooked on firewood with quality ingredients, snails, a touch of rosemary and socarrat (the slightly burned crust of rice on the bottom of the Paella pan), it’s been a while long since we’ve had paella, authentic paella.
Perfect, the friendly service, the surroundings, the town, the food, the wine ... And if you want to sleep over, Jose Maria can offer you two cosy double rooms. For dinner we had chops, embutidos (Spanish sausage) and grilled rabbit, cooked just right, with aioli, finger licking good. The next day, we really did treat ourselves with a zarzuela prepared for us in a clay pot that we gave a good account of. The desserts were delicious, a tray of various homemade puddings, a seasonal fresh fruit fountain, in short, worth repeating.
If you pass through the Sierra de Espadán you now know where to eat, give my regards to Jose Maria and Lola, his wife.
My experience was fantastic. I tried some exquisite sea urchins, grilled octopus, and Peñiscola prawns with rock salt. For an entrée, I had oven-baked sea bass with potatoes and saffron. The homemade desserts are even better. I chose the sweet and sour apple pie. It’s an incredible experience for your palate.
We went to take 2 caps and 2 rods for € 4.50 and we paid over 20 € besides the canes to 4 € each, not happy with that, we were charged the VAT which was not included. I would tell everybody not to go to this place because it is a trick.
We went to eat at this picturesque restaurant, where we were very well-treated. We ate monkfish with seafood that was truly luxurious, spectacular lobster rice, and homemade desserts. Great music and attentive staff. Highly recommended.
One of the best rice dishes with lobster I've ever had. Furthermore, the service was exceptional and there is a lovely private terrace where you can eat. I was surprised that there were many recommendations from tourists, some going back to 2000. I'd definitely return.
A modern wine bar where you can have lunch, dinner, some tapas, or snacks. It is a very nice place with a great selection of Gin and Tonics. The staff will always serve you with a smile ... :-) The price quality ratio is very good, accessible to everyone.
This restaurant is dressed in white and blue, located in the second floor of the Grao de Castellón building, inside the port area.
They have a little terrace and big windows on the inside area, with views of the port. They specialize in seafood and Mediterranean cuisine, as well as on different kinds of rice.
I recommend that you accompany your meal with a glass of the wine of the house.
El Cortijo Hermanos Rico Restaurant is located in the region of Castellón. It stands out for its varied gastronomic offer, which mainly specializes in quality seafood. Facilities include a large comfortable lounge, and a spacious terrace with banquets.
We ate well here and the price was reasonable until they brought the bill and we realised that they had charged us € 1.50 for a dollop of mayonnaise on a plate. Whne we talked with the boss he was very unreasonable. They didn´t get a tip.
I love this cafe, especially for the cake with coffee and the pastries. They make declicious breads too. I recommend it! Also, for those ve love muffins, go there! They are ideal for breakfast. You always receive service with a smile which is very important!
