This is a place to remember.
Besides being a club where you can have a few drinks, the restaurant offers avant-garde dishes and a spectacular decoration and with a great personality.
It has a great service and the food is very good as well. Likewise, every detail is taking care of, so we felt very comfortable there.
We were walking through Peñíscola we saw a restaurant with an incredible terrace that was protected from the insufferable July heat at the highest point of the city. Although we had to head uphill to get to it, it was worth the trip. We were a group of seven, with three being young (so we were looking for something home style). We enjoyed the service, the food (we chose a little bit of everything to share between all seven of us) and the incredible views.
The fideua was to die for, the rose wine was chilled and quality, the rice dishes (paella) cooked to perfection, the variety of tapas and appetizers was great.
After eating, we had a coffee and enjoyed the views of the beach. Highly recommended place in Peñíscola. It was about 30 € per person. We left completely satisfied.
After walking around the fort, we went down to the promenade. It was almost 11:30 pm on a Sunday, but it was very lively.
All of the restaurants were packed, but we chose this one because of the enormous illuminated board on the entrance that showed images and prices of its dishes.
Rushing by, the waiters served people inside and outside the place but always with a smile on their faces. They immediately searched for a table for us and as we waited they brought us a glass of gazpacho, on the house.
The service was quick and with reasonable prices. When we finished we received a lemon iced drink, also on the house. It has a wide menu, something for everybody: mixed plates, hamburgers, hot dogs, paellas, seafood, milkshakes, dessert…
It's like eating authentic Italian pizzas in Peñiscola. This is a beachfront restaurant with two terraces and delicious ice creams. I go there more for their ice cream than anything, but I have tried their pizzas, and they were very good. They reminded me of the ones that I ate in Rome. After the renovations and expansion they did this winter, it has more space and comfort. Ciao.
We found this place before reaching the castle. Shashlik looked lovely when we walked in and the food didn't disappoint. We ordered some grilled vegetables which were spectacular (15 €) and some nice American diners suggested that we try the beef and chorizo which was wonderful. A great ambience with very friendly people.
My experience was fantastic. I tried some exquisite sea urchins, grilled octopus, and Peñiscola prawns with rock salt. For an entrée, I had oven-baked sea bass with potatoes and saffron. The homemade desserts are even better. I chose the sweet and sour apple pie. It’s an incredible experience for your palate.
We went to eat at this picturesque restaurant, where we were very well-treated. We ate monkfish with seafood that was truly luxurious, spectacular lobster rice, and homemade desserts. Great music and attentive staff. Highly recommended.
One of the best rice dishes with lobster I've ever had. Furthermore, the service was exceptional and there is a lovely private terrace where you can eat. I was surprised that there were many recommendations from tourists, some going back to 2000. I'd definitely return.
We went to take 2 caps and 2 rods for € 4.50 and we paid over 20 € besides the canes to 4 € each, not happy with that, we were charged the VAT which was not included. I would tell everybody not to go to this place because it is a trick.
A modern wine bar where you can have lunch, dinner, some tapas, or snacks. It is a very nice place with a great selection of Gin and Tonics. The staff will always serve you with a smile ... :-) The price quality ratio is very good, accessible to everyone.
We ate well here and the price was reasonable until they brought the bill and we realised that they had charged us € 1.50 for a dollop of mayonnaise on a plate. Whne we talked with the boss he was very unreasonable. They didn´t get a tip.
I love this cafe, especially for the cake with coffee and the pastries. They make declicious breads too. I recommend it! Also, for those ve love muffins, go there! They are ideal for breakfast. You always receive service with a smile which is very important!
This is an exquisite restaurant on the beach itself. It is an ideal place to eat right on the beach and that offers a great gastronomical experience.
The place is very luminous, the food and service are very good. I highly recommend it.
When we visited Peñiscola, we stopped at a sign advertising "Seven Spoons" and learned that seven restaurants were offering a different dish each for 7€ a plate. We opted for the "beef stew with artichokes" from the Tio Pepe restaurant. Our waiter, Juan, was a big, friendly man with a Galician accent. As a starter, we were offered octopus in sauce with clams, which was exquisite. Afterwards, we got our stew (which was beautifully presented) and promptly devoured it. Unforgettable experience. Great service and high quality food.
Puerto Lampiño is a place that continually surprises with their creativity in pintxos, tapas and Mediterranean cuisine. At 8:00pm, they begin serving hot and cold pintxos like sausages, rice, fish, and seafood. Here are some pictures. They have a fan page on Facebook!
A nice restaurant to enjoy very fresh fish and seafood in the fishing port of Peniscola, at the foot of the old party of the city. If you want to eat next to the fishing boats, it's a good choice. The smell of the boats is sometimes quite strong, but it is part of the character of the place!
Of course, the diverse cuisine in Peniscola has to have a Chinese restaurant. The China Town restaurant stands on Avenida Papa Luna, with views overlooking the sea. It has one of the cheapest menus in the area, which includes coffee and dessert. The terrace is a nice place to have lunch in the sun, enjoying the views.
Cafetería Zyssa is a cafe is on the corner of Avenida Papa Luna. They have everything from tapas to full meals to a variety of ice cream and slushies. We had a salad (€6.50) and a half chicken (€7.50). Truly no complaints. The food was filling and the prices were fair. Recommended!
