Building of the Ministry of Economy of Paris

2 reviews of Building of the Ministry of Economy of Paris

Residences of aristocrats and bankers

Excellent

Starting our journey down rue de Bercy we saw an impressive building overlooking the Seine - the Ministry of Economy and Finance. It was built in 1989 and is one of the most iconic modern buildings in Paris and walking around here is a delight for architecture lovers, the Bercy Sports Palace is on your doorstep, as is the Mitterrand Library. Its originality is that it is perpendicular to the river. Named after the finance manager, Monsieur de Bercy, here was his castle and residences of aristocrats/bankers.
