La basílica de Lyon, la más grande de todas las contrucciones de la ciudad; muy bien cuidada, una fachada impecable, como casi todo el casco antiguo. Se puede llegar hasta aquí con una línea de fonicular que sale desde la Catedral de San Juan (Vieux Lyon). Te ahorrarás una buena caminata cuesta arriba. Una vez aquí puedes perderte por el interior de la basílica durante un buen rato, siempre que te guste visitar estos edificios religiosos. Se entra, curiosamente, bajando unas escaleras; una vez llegas a la sala principal te puedes perder por el resto de la basílica, nadie te dice nada, paseas por este pasillo o subes por estas escaleras, tampoco existe la ridícula prohibición ( cada vez más asentada por Spain ) de "no hacer fotos dentro", perdón si molesto a alguien, pero para mi lo es. Te sientes un niño perdido en un enorme edificio..., pues ala!! ....a disfrutar, que no siempre vienen religiosos a estos edificios, también vienen pobres turistas como yo, a los que les gusta ver esta clase de tremendas construcciones...

Se le atribuye otros milagros como haber ayudado a sacar al invasor ruso y a Bismarck fuera de Lyon.

Au coeur de la ville, sur la place Bellecour, on dispose d'un magnifique point de vu sur la basilique qui s'élève au loin, de l'autre côté de la rivière, en haut d'une colline. Depuis la basilique, le panorama sur toute la ville de Lyon est donc extraordinaire ! La place Bellecour bien sur, mais aussi la Cathédrale Saint Jean en contrebas, l'Opéra un peu plus loin et l'Hotel de Ville qu'on devine... Rien que pour le point de vue, la visite mérite le détour ! Mais il n'y a pas seulement le point de vue ! La basilique elle même est très jolie. Malheureusement, en rénovation lorsque je suis passé, je ne l'ai pas visitée... Pour venir jusqu'à la basilique, je vous conseille néanmoins, pour réellement apprécier, de le faire "à la dure". Il y a bien évidemment possibilité de monter jusqu'ici grâce aux transports en communs, mais vous pouvez également, depuis le Vieux-Lyon, faire la montée à pied ! Depuis la gare Saint Paul, suivez la "montée Nicolas de Lange" jusqu'à la Tour Métallique, et de là vous arrivez presque immédiatement devant la basilique !

Mais ça en vaut la peine, car il vous faudra cheminer à travers le vieux Lyon et ses typiques escaliers, puis par les jardins de la Basilique. Néanmoins, pour les fainéants, le voyage sera tout aussi sympathique, voir même un peu plus amusant, car c'est dans le funiculaire qu'il faudra grimper! Une fois l'ascension terminée, elle se livrera enfin à vous, et dans le genre déco d'intérieur, elle est unique... J'en laisse la surprise! Peut être aurez vous droit à un miracle, car c'est en l'honneur de l'un d'eux, qu'elle fut construite, la Vierge Marie ayant sauvé la ville de la peste, c'est ainsi qu'elle en fut remerciée. Pour finir, la vue qui vous sera offerte terminera le voyage comme un bon moelleux au chocolat termine votre repas, avec délice!

Un vrai chemin de croix ! Cela dit, le jeu en vaut la chandelle, la basilique est immense et magnifique, l'intérieur de style gothique est surchargé de décoration.
