Un petit coin de paradis, connu depuis toujours par les communautés les 5 lacs sont l'endroit où s'organisait la vie social des mayas. En effet les lacs avaient chacun un rôle dans l'organisation de la vie quotidienne. Un des lacs servait pour boire, un autre pour laver les vêtements et les autres plus grands pour la pêche principalement. Situés à quelques mères les uns des autres il est très facile d'y accéder. Une chose est sûre, c'est endroit est unique avec des reflets bleus différents dans chacun des 5 lacs vous serez illuminés par la beauté de cette nature.

Visitar las Lagunas de Montebello es como ver el cielo en el suelo, es una verdadera obra de arte, el agua es tan transparente que a cierta profundidad se puede ver el fondo, se pueden hacer recorridos en balsas hechas de pino o en cayucos, el recorrido es muy placentero y tranquilo y los residentes de la zona siempre tratan de cuidar los lagos evitando usar embarcaciones con motor, las personas que dan los paseos en balsas también van explicando el ecosistema de la región y como se cuida, la gente es muy amable y atenta a responder cualquier pregunta, a las afueras se venden artesanías de Chiapas así como productos típicos de la región; hay varios Lagos y se puede acceder a todos solo comprando un boleto.
