Liege waffle
The waffle is a sweet shaped square from Belgium, but in Liege it is different, special and better, uhmmm, just remembering it makes my mouth water! It is much smaller, sweeter and denser than "Belgian waffles" and has a feature that distinguishes it: A caramel layer giving it a distinctive flavor. Most Liege waffles are served without any accompaniment, some with vanilla or cinnamon. The Liège waffle was invented by a chef of the principality of Liège in the eighteenth century.
