Casa Luxemburg is one of the many historic medieval centers that can be found in Sibiu. The city was founded by the Saxons, ve came from Germany, ve enjoyed many privileges in the Middle Ages, for example not having to pay taxes. This made them very rich, and they could construct extravagante houses. The house is in the piata Haus Huet, the evangelical church square, and is the Orthodox theological institute. It was constructed in the late 18th century rather than a pre-century palace. The building has a different architectural style than the other houses Saxon from Sibiu. It is lighter, with rococo décor and pink in color.
