Hoko 10

Hoko 10 is a large bar and cocktail lounge. It is located on Dean Street, on the road down to the river, one of the most vibrant for nightlife in Newcastle. The bar used to be called Au Bar, but was expanded to create this great split level lounge. The decor is Japanese. There are three different areas, the first serving all types of cocktail from aroundthe world. Then there is a quieter place with relaxing music and comfortable chairs. The bottom floor has a large window facing the street. The colors are dark and intimate. But at night there is also dancing. There is a DJ some nights a week, and admission is free.
