Ruin bar and restaurant in an old school
ISOLKA is a recently-opened ruin bar, restaurant, club, and cultural center occupying an abandoned school building (“iskola” means school in Hungarian) where the famous Tuzrakter ruin bar once stood. One of the coolest things about iSKOLA is exploring the enormous old school and discovering surprises around every corner. If you go at night, head to the old gymnasium which they're transformed into Iskola Club, a raucous dance hall which hosts concerts, DJ's, and performances, all well lubricated by its two bars. Head to the so-called Party Room, a quiet corner with vintage armchairs that hosts acoustic performances, readings, film screenings, and more, or check out the resident artists' studios further on.
