2 reviews of London Tower ravens

I was surprised to see the large bird...

I was surprised to see the large bird cages near the White Tower, inside the Tower of London complex. In fact, these birds are kept and fed by the government as according to legend, as long as there are ravens at the Tower, England will never fall to a foreign invasion. Since the reign of Charles II, six ravens have been kept at the Tower with their wings clipped so they can't fly away and let the country fall! Each raven has its own different colored ring, and the six there today are called "Hardey", "Thor", "Odin", "Gwyllum", "Cedric", "Hugin" and "Munin".
