Larbert Mansion House and Lake

As I said in my last article, the Larbert forests were once owned by the noble Larbert family, whose mansion stood on a hill overlooking the lake of the same name. Beautiful views for a very rich family! The mansion was built in the early seventeenth century, with a pier on the lake for fishing. In 2006 it caught fire, and the residence was destroyed. Today it is ruined, but it will be developed in the future to make a luxury apartment complex. The lake is small, with a maximum depth of about 10 meters. Interestingly, the old pier has been renovated into a modern gazebo, enabling walkers to enjoy the views of the lake.
