A bold concept
Founded in 1977 by Marcia Tucker, tis is the only museum in Manhattan devoted exclusively to contemporary art and is recognized worldwide for its boldness. In December 2007 its new location opened at 235 Bowery, in a spectacular seven-storey building designed by Sejima + Nishizawa / SANAA of Tokyo and Gensler of New York.
