A tourist town

I find it hard to call Panguitch a city. For me it's more like a kind of western village, with its Indian name meaning "Big Fish" because of the bountiful lake nearby. It has the typical atmosphere of an American western town with broad streets and low traffic because of the nearby Interstate. There are plenty of national parks nearby, including Brice Canyon, so it's a tourist town, with some motels and one or two restaurants. Panguitch was founded in 1864, and the buildings along the main street show what life was like back then. I loved the atmosphere here, which must be seen to be believed!
