A charming hotel

The Parador de Gijon is directly opposite the Isabel la Catolica park, and El Molinon stadium. as you'd expect from this chain, it's a charming hotel. It's located in an old mill, built around a landscaped courtyard with a little pond. It's a small building with just 40 rooms, all decorated in a rustic style. It has a cafe, bustling with people at lunchtime. Other facilities include a conference lounge and a restaurant, which specialises in "fabada asturiana" (the local stew).
