Los artii de la India te parecerán todo un espectáculo, muy especialmente si es tu primer viaje al vasto subcontinente asiático. El de Parmarth es pequeño y, por tanto, ideal para un primer acercamiento a este ritual hindú tan popular. El artii es una ofrenda de flores y velas que, en este caso, se realiza al río Ganges. Simplificando muchísimo diríamos que es una plegaria común que se hace a viva voz, con cánticos y palmas, y en la que unos y otros se pasan unas velas para bailarlas en vueltas con la mano y luego arrojarlas al río sagrado. Es una cosa tan alegre como vistosa a la que los locales no dudarán en invitar al visitante si este se sienta entre ellos para acercarse al evento con todo el respeto del mundo. También se arrojan flores al río, a veces en las pequeñas ‘barcas’ en las que navegan los candiles. Esto es lo que ocurre casi todas las tardes durante el artii en la zona principal de Parmarth, la que da al río. Sin embargo, quien se atreva a mirar un poco más allá, podrá ver en los soportales de la instalación unas pequeñas hogueras en torno a las que se reúnen grupos de personas (no están siempre). Se trata de un ritual llamado Homa, homam o havan en el que se ofrecen al fuego sagrado ciertos elementos para ganar equis favores. Está muy conectado con las prácticas de los ‘rishis’. En cualquier viaje a India que hagas tienes que participar por lo menos en un artii. Será una experiencia inolvidable que te dejará con la boca abierta.

L’ashram du Parmath Niketan est l’un des plus impressionnants de tout Swarg Ashram. En plus d’un charmant jardin très visité par les touristes, l’ashram bénéficie d’un cadre assez avantageux avec une belle vue sur le Gange où est organisée, tous les soirs, une cérémonie religieuse. Nous n’avons pas pu tester les cours de yoga, mais ne loupez pas, sur la droite, la jolie statue d’Hanuman avec son cœur ouvert et des personnages à l’intérieur.
