Fionnphort Coastal Road

We arrived at Fionnphort port years ago by following the traditional route, so this time we decided to try something a bit different: the longer, more scenic path along the coast past West Mull, a narrow road lost among the giant cliffs. Result: hardly any traffic, and simply breathtaking views. It's hard to get lost, following the B8035 road all the way to the end. Sometimes visibility isn't great, and the road can be narrow, making passing other vehicles very tricky. There are plenty of places to stop along the way to admire the views, as you pass so close to the sea, overlooking the islnds of Coll and Tiree.
