I must admit, visiting Peñíscola was a very pleasant surprise. I'm not much for classic beach town and I had my reserves, but Peñíscola truly doesn't have anything in common with the typical beach town. Yes, it's true, there's a beach, sand, sun and a vacation atmosphere, but there's also much more. To begin with, the beach is stylish. What you'll find is an old, medieval town that engulfs you. Peñíscola is one of the most beautiful places in Castellón and it’s become a marvelous vacation destination for many thanks to its amazing beach.

Some years ago, the Peñíscola beach wasn’t excessively big. It was a few kilometers of sand, but about five years ago they carried out a colossal work on the beach and they’ve been able to extend it to Benicarló. This means that the beach is currently ten kilometers long, and it's a true treat to walk along.

On this beach, you can find numerous recreational areas for the kids. There are all types of facilities, from showers to hammocks.
