Baroque Facades

Merced Square is located in the old quarter of Cuenca. Within this important group of buildings the best ones are the Baroque facades of the Merced Church, the Carmen House and the Seminar Council of San Julián (18th century), which has an excellent library, and the Asilo de los Desamparados (beginning of the 20th century). The remains of the latter are now part of the Museum of Science of Castile-La Mancha. I recommend this museum if you want to know more about astrology and ecosystems in Castile-La Mancha...and going with kids is perfect.
