This weekend I was in Cambados. Close to the City Council is Plaza Ramón Cabanillas, the illustrious Galician writer who was born in this beautiful town, and where the Monumento del Poeta da Raza is, with a barrel of albariño wine in one hand and a bunch of grapes in the other (a symbol of the famous vineyards of the region of Salnés). This albariñense culture has its peak in the annual celebration during the first weekend of August (the celebration of the Feast of Albariño), which attracts many visitors/tourists, you can taste different Albariño wines that enter the competition as well as its cuisine.
