In Downtown LA's Flower District, Poppy + Rose is an unexpectedly pleasant find with a hip vibe. Really - who would ever imagine something like this would be located in the Flower District? It's the perfect place to grab breakfast, brunch or lunch if you happen to be in the area, especially after shopping around.
If you're looking for an off-the-beaten path eatery, this is a nice place as well. When you first come in, a server will seat you at one of their simply beautiful wooden tables with a flower vase, a glass bottle of water, and plastic cups. This spot serves American food made with quality fresh ingredients. The menu is only a page long, which makes it simple to pick something to order, but it still includes a good variety of choices, including eggs (I liked the market scramble), waffles, a savory rib tips breakfast burrito (very yummy) and even burgers.
