Reservoir responsible to serve the people of Madrid
This reservoir is in the middle of the River Lozoya. It opened in the year 1958 and is the second dam, along with La Pinilla, which retains the River Lozoya. It is part of the network of Canal de Isabel II, responsible for supplying water to the people of Madrid. The Canal was set to be constructed in the year 1994, to avoid increasing the number of people swimming in the network, and to build Riosequillo Recreation Area, a complex where one can enjoy the natural pool Spain Mays , and there is parking, sports zones, play areas and a garden!
