Santa Cruz de la Sierra

En Octubre 2.016 iniciamos un viaje por un destino tan singular como poco conocido , esa es la realidad de este pais de grandes alturas " Bolivia " Custodiada por la belleza de la Cordillera de los Andes , con neveros perpetuos dadas su altura . Tierra de Quechuas y Aymaras de Chipayos y Urus que rinden culto a su Pachamama , la Madre Tierra . Ella es el principio y fin de todo , ella les da y a su vez les quita . Unas tierras con muy poco turismo esa es la verdad , un gran pais para descubrir tras los largos trámites aduaneros , apesar de que no es facil recorrerle , exhibe enormes atractivos . Donde se dan cita cumbres majestuosas , lagunas de todos los colores por las tierras deserticas del altiplano y como no con los flamencos rosas . Su arquitectura colonial y las culturas de los indigenas la sabiduría aun vivas , de la mano del dios Sol . Salares que deslumbran y nos dejan asombrados , que hermosura el Salar de Uyuni - Salar de Chalviri o Salar de Coipasa . Cerros imponentes que buscan la luz solar , volcanes como el Tunupa o el volcan de Lincancabur de gran belleza . Y Que decir de los Parques Nacionales como Eduardo Avaroa o P. N Sajama . Tal vez y es mi impresión personal son las ciudades las que menos atractivos tienen y ¡ Haberlas haylas esa es la verdad , pero tan abigarradas en su planificación desordenadas y decadentes por el abandono a día de hoy , que es con lo que menos me quedo !! La ciudad de Santa Cruz de la Sierra asentada entre la Amazonia y las tierras altas , nos brinda una mezcla de tradiciones y modernidad que van creciendo aceleradamente en 12 anillos concéntricos y avenidadas que se dan la mano bajo soportales con robustas columnas talladas ¡ algo que sin duda gusta encontrar y nos recuerda la colonia española . Y dicho lo que me ha parecido , inició desde este punto de entrada ¡ con sentido elegido , para irnos acoplando a la alura eh ir ganando altura progresivamente para facilitar asi la aclimatación . ¡ Una de las grandes dificultades de esta ambiciosa ruta ¡ En serio , el mal de altura dado lo que nos afecto la altitud quien más tuvimos que recurrir a la medicación , infusiones de coca y derivados de la misma para paliar los efectos ! Objeto de polémica , sigue siendo desde hace siglos la base de su día a día ¡ Incluso de la economia de muchas familias dado al consumo tan popular . Entorno a su plaza Metropolitana su Catedral o Basilica Menor de San lorenzo del siglo XVII , sus iconos sus velas como ofrendas y objetos rituales en oro y plata . Una delicía más es ver en las copas de los arboles animales casi en extinción . En el anillo central esta el casco antiguo , su mercado donde lo que más destaco fueron sus puestos de comida tipica en arroz con sus tamales , empanadillas rellenas de carne y verduras , pinchos de platano frito , los majaditos de pato o charque , tortitas de harina de maiz su gran delicatessen ya sea blanco o amarillo . Una ciudad que fue fundada por Ñuflo de Chaves en 1.561 , que era extremeño ¡ Punto para seguir nuestra ruta , hacia otro atractivo la Chiquitanía

Es una ciudad muy poco preparada para el turismo, con calles donde corres el riego de ser atropellada, pues nadie respeta la ley. De estar realizando un viaje con varias paradas, es posible conocerla en máximo 1 día, de lo contrario, quedarse más que eso implica necesariamente encerrarse en el hotel hasta el regreso.

Estuvimos solo 3 días de pasada, pero nos alcanzó para visitar uno de sus mejores parques y recorrer la ciudad. La verdad muy linda y es barato para hacer compras.

El cambio es radical cuando entramos en esta ciudad, que es como ningúna otra en Bolivia! Es mucho más occidentalizada y el centro de la ciudad está lleno de boutiques, tiendas y restaurantes chics. Además aquí hace muchísimo calor! Es una ciudad muy bonita y que tiene mucho encanto, con una vegetación y una fauna preciosas.

Soy de Madrid y un amigo boliviano nos recomendo venir a Sta. Cruz de la Sierra. Llevamos aquí una semana y no quedan 2 mas... y ya estamos hasta el gorro! La ciudad es sucia, las aceras rotas en todas parte, basura tirada por todos los rincones. Vamos, que es igualito a Tanger. La gente no podemos decir que se porte mal con nosotros o que sean desagradables, pero cuando entras a comprarr en una tienda de ropa te suben el precio cosa barbara! En global, nuestra calificación es de que estamos pensando en tomar un vuelo continental para ir a brasil o argentina y salir ya de aquí. Espero que se tenga en cuenta la opinión.

I'm from Madrid and a friend recommended we come to Bolivia Santa Cruz de la Sierra. We've been here a week and there are 2 more ... and we're up to the cap! The city is dirty, broken sidewalks in every part, rubbish lying everywhere. C'mon, it's exactly like Tanger. Santa Cruz es una ciudad maravillosa, tiene sus defectos como cualquier ciudad pero sus paisajes, su gente y sus mujeres son espectaculares.
