Smith and Wollesky is the most famous steakhouse in New York. The meat is top quality but you had better go hungry because the portions are huge! The menu is limited to only the most delicious cuts of beef, and they have traditional sides like mashed potatoes or carrots and peas. It is common to see celebrities dining there. Not a cheap restaurant by far...in fact, the taxi driver who took us there told us he had always wanted to eat there but just couldn't afford the price.
