Ponte Solferino

Ponte Solferino over the Arno River is the busiest one in the city after the ponte di Mezzo. It is basically a structure made for traffic and doesn´t have any special architectural significance. The width, 10.50 m, allows for four lanes and two sidewalks for pedestrians and bicycles. It has beautiful views and at night the light makes it spectacular, and at day the perspective shows a beautiful shore. Estetically the bridge could have looked better with the Church of Santa Maria de la Espina, one of the jewels of the city of Praty dei Miracoli.
