A memorial to the fallen soldiers

The Inveraray Bell Tower is one of the main tourist attractions in the little village. The church at the foot of the tower is called All Saints Church. It is visible from afar because the houses around are all white, and the church was built from the red granite of the region. Work began in 1885, following an Edinburgh architectural design. Most of the furniture and decorations in the interior were donated by the Duke of Argyll, Niell Darimid. The bell tower is constructed in the Gothic Revival style. It is newer, and was erected in 1923 after the First World War, as a memorial to the fallen soldiers in all past wars.
