Tegelberg Mountain

Recopilando información de mi viaje por tierras bávaras tenía muy claro que uno de los sitios que no iba a perderme era el misterioso, sugerente y enigmático capricho del excéntrico Luis II de Baviera, su famoso castillo de Neuschwanstein, estampa típica de Alemania y uno de los destinos turísticos más populares del país. El castillo tiene una situación estratégica que lo hace visible y fotografiable desde muchos puntos, dicen que la mejor postal y vistas del castillos se observa desde el famoso puente de Marienbrücke, próximo al mismo, y sí, es cierto que nos ofrece una perspectiva fantástica de Neuschwanstein, pero en mi opinión, la mejor de todas está en la subida al Monte Tegelberg. El monte Tegelberg de 1730 metros de altura se encuentra cerca de la localidad de Schwangau, para llegar a su cima nosotros cogimos el camino más fácil: el funicular Tegelbergbahn. El trayecto es de unos 10 minutos aproximadamente y nos lleva desde los 830 m hasta la cumbre. Durante el mismo, las vistas que nos ofrece del castillo de Neuschwanstein, de su vecino el castillo de Hohenschwangau y del entorno: bosques, montañas y lagos son inmejorables. Una vez alcanzada la cumbre del monte, el funicular nos deja en una estación desde donde podemos contemplar magníficos paisajes alpinos, observar como practican ala delta o aventurarnos en unos de los múltiples senderos que por allí discurren y practicar senderismo. Uno de los más transitados es el que baja del monte hasta el mismo castillo de Neuschwanstein, de unas 3 horas de descenso disfrutando de unas vistas espectaculares, o eso dicen al menos, yo no lo hice. Para información sobre la zona recomiendo dirigirse a la oficina de turismo de Schwangau, donde amablemente te darán indicaciones, folletos y horarios de todas las atracciones del lugar incluido los famosos castillos. Si estás alojado en las proximidades, los hoteles y casas rurales (gasthaus), te facilitarán una tarjeta con descuentos para la mayoría de los lugares turísticos de la zona, así como transporte gratis en las proximidades.

Muy cerca del famoso Castillo de Neuschwanstein, se alza este monte de más de 1.700 metros, repleto de senderos y actividades que lo convierten en una de las mejores atracciones de la zona. Para acceder al punto más alto, no es necesario que te pegues una subida memorable, ya que dispones del teleférico "Tegelbergbahn", que en poco más de 10 minutos te llevará desde la misma base de la montaña hasta la cima. Eso sí, son casi 20 € ida y vuelta o 13 € por trayecto. ¿Merece la pena? Totalmente. El trayecto del teleférico es espectacular y encima a mitad de camino se obtienen unas vistas del Castillo de Neuschwanstein difícil de superar. Al contrario del Puente de Marienbrücke, que las vistas dan a la llanura, desde el teleférico tendrás una panorámica con las montañas alpinas (que pertenecen ya a Austria), el lago Alpsee y el Castillo de Hohenschwangau. Ya arriba, encontrarás un pequeño restaurante perfecto para picar algo o tomarte una buena cerveza. Además, justo al lado de la parada del teleférico, hay una plataforma de lanzamiento de ala deltas, una experiencia brutal para todo aquel que se lo pueda permitir. Nuestra intención era subir en teleférico y bajar por el sendero que te lleva al mismo castillo en unas 3 horas de recorrido, pero como el día no acompañaba, mucho tuvimos que cancelar la ruta. Aun así, fue una experiencia espectacular!!

Subiendo al monte Tegelberg en teleférico se observan las mejores vistas de los castillos, además de poder admirarlos en conjunto los lagos que salen a sus espaldas le dan una postal preciosa. hay que tener suerte con el tiempo. De tener buen tiempo y subir y bajar sin problemas en cuanto llegue al hotel en Fussen se desato la tormenta. Es muy impredecible,..pero para tener esos paisajes debe llover! Para aparcar en le parking del teleferico es necesario pagar; 1hora=1€, 3h=2€. La subida cuesta 18 ida y vuelta aunque si te atreves puedes comprar sólo un viaje y o subes a pata o bajas a pata por los senderos. apenas hay turistas en comparación a los castillos y a Marienbrucke que está copado. Hay unas instalaciones muy buenas para comer, tanto abajo como arriba,..cerca del parking hay hasta una piscinita pata meter los pies los senderistas cuando bajan. y una atraciion que no pregunte cuanto cuesta que consiste en turarse por unos railes que hacen zigzag por el prado. Una vez arriba hay multitud de senderos.que me quede con las ganas de hacer. También puedes ver como se tiran en parapente desde alli. Una experiencia inolvidable. volveré!
