A welcoming place

The Ebury is a restaurant-bar in Pimlico that's very close to Victoria bus and train stations. But you're in the residential part so you find fewer travelers and more people from the neighborhood that in the station bars. The restaurant is packed at noon with office workers eating from a set menu served from 12h to 15h. The menu is a little more expensive. They make their dough by hand and have a fantastic octopus salad with peppers. The menu is inspired by southern recipes like bresaola, Provencal tart and some English dishes like baked fish and pork belly. Entrees cost about 16 pounds and half.

Sunday's roast, pork or beef is 20 pounds/person for a good meal. It is a welcoming place.

The Ebury est un bar restaurant du quartier de Pimlico. Il se trouve tout près de la gare de bus et de trains de Victoria. Mais on est déjà dans la partie résidentielle, il y passe moins de voyageurs, et plus de gens du quartier que dans les bars de la gare. Le restaurant est plein a la mi journée avec des gens des bureaux alentours, et il offre un menu fixe, qui est servi de midi a quinze heures. Ensuite a la carte c’est un peu plus cher. Ils font leurs pates a la main, et une fabuleuse salade de poulpe aux poivrons. La carte s’inspire de recettes du sud, comme la tarde provençale, la bresaola… et quelques plats anglais comme poisson au four ou poitrine de porc. Les plats principaux coutent autour de 16 livres et la moitié pour les entrées. Le dimanche c’est le roti, de porc ou de bœuf, il coute une vingtaine d’euros par personne pour un bon repas. Lieu accueillant.
