The Leatherback turtle nesting is one of the most impressive processes of nature. These turtles are the largest representatives of the family of turtles worldwide. The adult can weigh up to 800 km and measures 270 cm from the tip of one flap to the other. Not only is the largest turtle, it's also one of the world's fattest reptiles. The leatherback turtle is named after the shape and texture of the shell. These turtles are the most pelagic of the sea turtles, only females emerge ashore to lay their eggs. Males never leave the sea. They live in all oceans of the world and feed exclusively on jellyfish.
