Gelateria Tre Fontane

This gelateria is an institution in Rome and it’s located in the spectacular Piazza Navona which should be on every tourist’s itinerary. The specialty is tartufo, balls of chocolate covered with chocolate powder. They’re superb and come in all sorts of flavors! Enjoying one of these delectable treats in such a famous place is a true pleasure.

After having read so much about this gelateria, it was the first thing I looked for when I arrived at Piazza Navona. I tried the famous tartufo for the measly price of 4€. Ok, ok…so it’s not the cheapest snack in the world but it’s worth it. Afterwards, we were ready to explore the square and enjoy the works of Bernini and Borromini.
