La Olivera Vegetarian Restaurant

A few days ago I had the opportunity to eat in this good restaurant which like on previous occasions I found here in minube.com.

Once again, it was a good experience, even though the current road works near to Nueno between Huesca and Sabiñánigo drove my GPS mad and made my journey to the restaurant a small odyssey. I don’t know if it was a question of the season or the day in question (a Wednesday in August at lunch time) but the place was a little deserted. Of the 10-12 tables only 3 or 4 were occupied, but there was still a good atmosphere.

The vegetarian food came up to my expectations, except the "Maltesa" salad with different lettuces, pearls of melon, cucumber, baby sweet corn, carrot shavings, sunflower seeds and balsamic oregano of figs, whose pretentious name couldn’t hide a tasteless dish. But the rest of the dishes washed down by a fresh rosé form Navarra, were noteworthy.

Making a small trip in our car, we stopped in Nueno, 10 minutes from Huesca, in the direction of the Pyrenees. We saw that it was a vegetarian restaurant and decided to go in and try a different cuisine to our normal. Well, first of all I have to say that the decoration was spectacular, it was like we were eating in a fairy tale (it reminded me of Euro Disney).

Incredible cuisine, above all, in the flavours (achieved very well) and the presentation, because on the dessert plate they had drawn a square of chocolate, which the chefs did in front of me.
