The Kauai Waimea Canyon is a place to visit. If you are lucky to come on a sunny day in good weather, it is really an inevitable feast of colors for the eyes and a pleasure ... we thought it had been colored by a painter.
Hiking through this canyon is an incredible experience, with stunning panoramic vistas on all sides. Twice during our hike we had rainbows appear below us in the canyon.
Waimea is beautiful....place of the cattle ranchers .The drive from Hilo to Kona finds all scenic views from mountains to ocean....Having lived on three islands, Big Isle offers it all.
