Wenemaar Van Paradijs Tavern

Van Paradijs Wenemaar is one of the typical taverns to be found in the center of Ghent where you can sit and drink in the pleasant terrace of the Square, next to the Old Fish Market and enjoy the stunning views of the Castle of the Counts Flanders. The bar is set in antique style, with multiple signs of different types of Belgian beer you order at the same decorating the walls. Besides beer, they also serve wine, spirits and soft drinks. The place has an upper floor, where there is the restaurant brasserie. I did not try their food (we only went for a drink), but in the menu they have everything from snacks, pasta and salads to meat and fish dishes.
