The pun in the title is because el Tres restaurant is one of the trendiest restaurants in Leuven, with a friendly, very cool decor and menu, but without neglecting the cuisine. This restaurant has two floors inside and also an outside terrace situated on a busy pedestrian street. The carpaccio is delicious, as are the meats with various sauces, such as Roquefort with pepper, and as a curiosity, in the menu there are also several Spanish-inspired dishes.
In the city center is this highly recommended restaurant. It is tiny inside, but is very well-decorated and large tables for group meals. It is a good place to try the local food, and above all, beer. Because Leuven is the city of beer. Or one of them. And here they are specialized in giving you a menu linked to different local beers. Dishes joined with certain brewers who will delight the most discerning palate.
The factory is situated in the heart of Leuven, near the train station. It is very modern, but in Leuven it has six centuries of brewing tradition and Stella met the purity requirement of 1516, which stated that it could only use water, barley malt and hops for making the beer. Today, Stella Artois is drunk in over 80 countries and is also produced in North America and Asia. The guided tour of the factory is very interesting, you can larn about the history of Stella Artois, and the current process of making this and other cans or bottled beers. After that, you arrive at the most interesting part, the beet tasting bar, where you can sample the delights of different types of beer
Just behind oude mark in one of the streets leading off, we stumbled upon this little Sicilian place in the pure mafia movie style. If you want to eat a high-quality pizza for a few euros, you only have to say that you are students and they give you a special price for a delicious pizza - only € 5, I recommend the salmonellosis or capriciosa! The service is excellent and, in addition to pizza, you can also taste all kinds of Italian dishes at a great price too.
